Cricket India Academy to launch centre in City soon

 
Want to get a diploma certificate in your ‘favorite subject’ at the age of 14? Budding cricketers in the City will be getting an opportunity to get a Diploma in Cricket soon from world’s most professional cricket governing body, Cricket Australia (CA).

Cricket India Academy, which will be launching their centre in Mangalore this month, is providing an opportunity to the young talents to grab this Diploma in Cricket certificate, given as a part of Cricket Education Programme affiliated to Cricket Australia.

Cricket India Academy, currently running in 17 centers across India, will be soon launching in Mangalore, Chennai and Surat. City based Mangala Sports Private Limited is the local franchisee for the Academy centre in Mangalore.

The cricket coaching programs in the centre includes Cricket Kids (5-8 age group), Emerging players (Above 15 age group), Elite Camp (high performance skill development techniques) and summer camps.

Cricket edn programme

Cricket education programme, affiliated to CA, is a comprehensive six level sequential cricket development program developed by Cricket Australia for 9- 14 year boys and girls. Assessment and certification is available at each level with Diploma of cricket awarded to participants who complete level 6.

The duration of the course is 36 weeks consisting of two sessions per week. Each session will be completed out of school hours and run for 120 minutes.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Mangala Sports Private Limited officials said that the Academy will be based in St Aloysius College Centenary Ground. The academy centre will have three astro-turfs and bowling machine for practice.

The Academy will have the assistance of a fitness trainer. Officials said that the Academy players will also get opportunity to interact with the Australian players and coaches whenever they visit India.
