Mangalore:The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), New Delhi is organizing a Two Days State Level Conference of C.A students, at Mangalore on 13th and 14th of December 2012.The conference is hosted by the Mangalore branch of ICAI and SICASA. The Mangalore Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) established in the year 1970 is one of the vibrant branches in the Southern region with its office at Mahendra Arcade, Karangalpady, Mangalore.

 Over 480 Chartered Accountants and about 1000 students located at Mangalore, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Madikeri, Puttur, Sullia, Moodabidri and adjoining areas are affiliated to this Branch. The branch conducts regular activities and programmes for members and students including special sessions by inviting speakers from all over the country for updating knowledge of the members and students. The Students wing of the branch is known as Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (SICASA).

 It is organizing Coaching regularly for Students pursuing the CA Course. The branch is also regularly conducting Information technology Training, Orientation and General Management course. CA Sham Bhat is the Chairman, Sahana Rao the Vice Chairman and Gautham Pai is the secretary of the Mangalore Branch. The Two Days State Level Conference of C.A students will be held at T.V.Ramana Pai Hall Kodialbail Mangalore on 13th and 14th of December 2012.

 Padmashree C.A T.N.Manoharan, Past president of the ICAI will be inaugurating the conference at 9.15 AM on the 13th Dec and deliver the Keynote address. Mr. Vijay Kapoor, Director of Board of Studies of ICAI will also be addressing the CA students and replying to their queries. More than 300 students from across the state are expected to participate in the conference and papers will be presented on various relevant technical topics such as Service Tax, Audit of charitable and religious trusts, Internal Audit and company Law for the students. There will also be a Yoga session and career counseling and personality development sessions during the course of the conference and a cultural programme. A Career Guidance programme will be held on 13th December at 3.30 pm. Those students who have not yet registered may register and participate in the conference take advantage of the same.
