Minister for Muzrai, Ports and Inland Water Transport Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that there was no threat to the government and government will complete its full term.

Speaking to media persons, the minister said that KJP is absolutely a rival party to the BJP and KJP leaders should give genuine reasons in their bid to  end BJP-led state government.

He said leaders without any authentic qualms either against the government or the ministry, are adamant to put an end to the BJP rule. By doing so, they are going against the democracy and also against public mandate.

He said the Assembly session will begin and budget will be presented without any hurdle. Whenever Yeddyurappa was against the government and its leadership, he never possessed any valid reasons, however he was heard as it was solely internal issue within the party. Now, the scenario has changed and Yeddyurappa is an outsider to the BJP and his party is not less to any opposition party, he added.

The Minister said that the Speaker Bopaiah is wise enough to handle the situation and he is capable of defending his behaviours with right approach. Whatsoever, the Speaker has the right to perform his duties within the legal parametres.

Guest house in Tirupathi

He said that ground-breaking ceremony was performed in Tirupati for the guest house and also commercial complex building proposed to be built at a cost of Rs 498 lakh, on January 24. The building is constructed to offer basic facilities to the devotees’ from Karnataka.

He said there is nearly 7.60 acre of land on the top of Tirumala Tirupati hill and is part of Karnataka since the time of Mysore kings. Confusions prevailed over the ownership of the land. However, Andhra government has agreed to give 7.05 acre of land on perpetual lease.

The construction work will begin once the Andhra government submits the counter affidavit to acquit the staus quo ordered by the Andhra High Court following a PIL, he said.

MLA Raghupathy Bhat said that he has nowhere said that he was responsible for stopping Poona-Ernakulam train at Udupi railway station.

The credit goes to the efforts of Railway Yatri Sangha. The order by Railway Minister was released on January 15 and the Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde also has nothing to claim for the credit, he said.

In connection with the Malpe fishermen who were detained in Goa for illegal crossing of prohibited area in the sea, the MLA said that he with the help of the state government had negotiated with Goa CM Manohar Parrikkar. The fishermen did not pay the five per cent extra of the amount of the fish catch. Instead arrangements were made so that they were asked to pay only Rs 5,000.

He urged MP to take up the issue of national highway four lanning with the Central government.

The work is moving in a snail’s pace. The MP had not even convened a meeting of the officials and MLAs to discuss the issue of national highway, he added.
