Mumbai: February 21, 2013: Once again the devotees of Mamtamai Shree Radhe Guru Maa are set to celebrate the auspicious day of Radhe Guru Maa’s birthday on 3rd March, 2013. People from across the world congregate in Mumbai every year on the day. The crowd includes devotees and sevadaar/ volunteers.

Biography

Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa is a spiritual teacher in the Sanatan Hindu tradition. She was born in Dorangala Village in Gurudaspur, Punjab, and lives currently in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a child, she was drawn both to the teachings of the Sikh tradition in which she was born as well as to the temple of Goddess Kali in her village.

Radhe Maa was initiated into spiritual practice by her guru Shri Shri Mahant Ramdeen Das 1008 of the Paramhans Bagh Dera, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, when she was 23. A few months later after meeting the Mahant, Radhe Maa withdrew from all familial and societal concerns to dedicate herself to the service of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. While Radhe Maa preaches that all spiritual traditions preach the glory of the same Godhead, Radhe Maa considers the worship of Lord Shiva and Devi as the antidote for all ills. She worships her ishta devatas or chosen deities through teerth yatras, bhajan, and ritualistic worship as prescribed by the Hindu scriptures. She prescribes the same path to those who seek her blessings.

Teachings

Shri Radhe Maa emphasises on the need for surrender to God, humility, truthfulness, self-discipline and self-restrain. While she holds that all spiritual traditions, teachers, deities and scriptures deserve our respect, she says it helps if one surrenders to a particular manifestation of divinity/guru/deity of one’s choosing and directs all of one’s devotional energies in that direction.

In 2013, devotees have set the stage for chowki at Korakendra Grounds, Borivali (W), 5 PM onwards.
The event is absolutely free and open to all devotees.

Mumbai: Vishwa Kalyan hetu, Mamtamayee Shri .Radhe Guru Maa birthday will be celebrated and a Maa Jagdambe Chowki  will be organised on 3rd March 2013 at Kora Kendra Ground, Kora Kendra,Borivali(w), Mumbai. It will begin at Six P.M. (6:00 PM).Popular figures from India including Singer Lakhvinder Singh Lakha, Anup Jalota, Manoj Tiwari, Jaspinder Narula, Vinod Rathore, Saradul Sikandar, Vinod Agrawal, Arvind Singh, Ramshankar, Sanjeev Kohli, Panna Gill, Rajiv Gandhi,Master Salim and others will sing the glory of  Maa Jagat Jagdambe Maa. The entry and Lunger( food) is free.

Matamayee Shree Radhe Maa Ashram’s are spread over Mukeria in Punjab, Mumbai and Delhi. People believe that even if she does not speak much, she benefits everyone going there. Some followers believe that she is god and some consider her as their guru. Believers say that Guru Maa looks at them with kindness and not for their riches. Whenever she helps someone, she also speaks to them.
