Trust gifts books to St. Francis D’Assisi Orphange

Mumbai: Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa organized a book donation programme at the St. Francis D’ Assisi Orphange in Borivali, Mumbai on Monday, June 17, 2013. The initiative was held under the aegis of the Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust which holds several such initiatives in the field of public health, education, housing and environment protection through the year.

The book donation drive benefited 55 students at the orphanage who were happy to receive the gift at the hands of devotees of Shri Radhe Guru Maa. “Guru Maa believes in engaged spirituality. For the last 20 years, not only has she financially and materially supported several gau shalas, orphanages, temples and ashrams, she has also been a keen supporter of initiatives in the field of education and public health that include free medical camps and book donation drives that run through the year,” explained Sanjeev Gupta of the Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust.

Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa is a spiritual teacher in the Sanatan Hindu tradition. She was born in Dorangala Village in Gurudaspur, Punjab, and lives currently in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a child, she was drawn both to the teachings of the Sikh tradition in which she was born as well as to the temple of Goddess Kali in her village.

While Radhe Maa preaches that all spiritual traditions preach the glory of the same Godhead, Radhe Maa considers the worship of Lord Shiva and Devi as the antidote for all ills. She worships her ishta devatas or chosen deities through teerth yatras, bhajan, and ritualistic worship as prescribed by the Hindu scriptures. She prescribes the same path to those who seek her blessings.
