AN OPEN LETTER TO SHRI. MOHAN BHAGWAT JI, The Sarasanghachalak, RSS

Sub: - National Integration

It is in reference to the coordination meeting of Rashtrya Swayamsevak Sangh held in Bhopal on 21 September, 2013. The media reports that the meeting was chaired by the Shri. Suresh Joshi ji, Sarkaryavahak , RSS. In the said meeting a question came up for discussion regarding the Religious Conversions and the appointment of a Christian (Shri Antony Disa, IAS), as Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh.   In this regard I would like to draw your attention to a few points:-

The meeting raised the issue Religious Conversion and the appointment of a Christian as the chief Secretary. What will the Government do to stop religious conversion when they have appointed a Christian as its Chief Secretary?    The Madhya Pradesh Government has appointed one of the senior most IAS Officers as its Chief Secretary with best service records.  Is it in the interest of the nation to discredit the ability and sincerity of an officer based on religion?

The Christian community has been serving millions of families through education, health and social development programmes. If the community has been working with the single aim of religious conversions then many of the Hindu leaders who are working with you today may have become Christians by now and their children as well. I do not think that you need any other proof for the faith of the Hindu community in the selfless and sincere of services offered by Christians in India.

I would like to stress here that Lord Jesus has not taught His disciples to forcefully baptize anybody and in Madhya Pradesh over the ten years of BJP Rule no such incident has been proved. The propaganda of forceful conversion is a white lie said so many times for years to make people believe. It is a fact that this propaganda was used to mobilize people against the British. When the British left India this false propaganda is being used to gather people in favour of Hindutva Agenda but it is harming the unity of India.

If the reports coming in the media to be trusted RSS is the organization that draws clear strategy for all Hindu organizations and its political outfit BJP. There are many Parliamentary seats in India where the Christians play a decisive role in the electoral politics. As you have given clear strategy to embrace Muslims, you need to embrace Christians too for coming to power in India.

I believe that your fight against terrorism and work towards national integration will remain incomplete without Muslims and Christians. So it is in the National interest to respect each other and embrace all.
