I want my husband back, will fight until I get justice says aggrieved Wife
Sullia : “I had fallen in love with a boy when I was pursuing my Engineering studies. We got married at Dharmasthala and now owing to his father’s pressure my husband has left me. The in laws who were first demanding money are now citing religious difference as the reason. I have already filed police complaint. I want my husband, I will fight until my last breath for justice. If nothing is being done then I will give up my life in my husband’s house,”lamented Dhanya, daughter of Perlapu Narayan Rao from Kadeshivalaya of Bantwal.
Addrressing the press persons on Friday, November 15, Dhanya said “When I was doing my engineering studies during the year 2006 I fell in lobe Nithin (25), son of Yenekal Tukaram. In the beginning Nithin said that his father was disapproving the relation as we were belonging to different religion. However later Nithin came and told me that his father had agreed for marriage. Thereafter we got married at Dharmasthala in the presence of my sister and brother in law. We started living like husband and wife,”Dhanya said.
“When I wanted to pursue IPS they asked me to do M.Tech, accordingly I joined M.Tech. My husband started working as a lecturer in a college at Mangalore. Whenever he demanded money I used to give him. I had also bought a laptop for him. Recently Nithin started distancing away from me citing the reason that his family was opposed to the marriage and that they were demanding money and gold. When I had confronted him pleading him not to cheat me he had hit me in such a way that I had fallen unconscious. A complaint was filed in Kadri Police Station (North) on October 2.”she added.
“With a hope that I would get Nithin back if I pay them money and gold I had taken Rs.3 lac in cash and 3 sovereign of gold on Wednesday and gone to Nithin’s father’s house at Yennekal. My brother in law had dropped me off. I also sent a message to Nithin that I was at his house. Nithin had replied to me that he would come to the house. Nithin’s mother was also at the house who started threatening that I shouldn’t be staying at their house. Later she locked the house and went out. I was sitting at the sit out until midnight. Later as I was scared I called Subramanya Police Station. The Police later took me to Subramanya. Now I have filed a complaint to the SP against Nithin, his parents and his brother,”Sunitha informed.
“I want to get married to him legally, I want my husband and nothing elese. If his family members are opposed to this then I will fight for my right. Many organizations have also expressed their support.”she added.
