MANGALORE: ’Jana Nudi,’ a two-day literary meet will be held under the aegis of Abhimatha Mangalore at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar here from December 14.

 Many noted litterateurs including Dinesh Amin Mattu, Rajendra Chenni, SG Siddaramaiah, HS Anupama, Sara Aboobakker, Kadidalu Shamanna and Lakshminarayana Nagavara will take part in the meet, which comprises of three interactive seminars and a poets’ meet. While Rajendra Chenni will inaugurate the meet on December 14 at 10am, Siddaramaiah will preside.

 A seminar on ’women - present scenario and revolution’ will be held on December 14 at 2pm. While writers Meenakshi Bali, Vinaya Vakkunda and N Gayathri will present the topic, Anasooya Kamble, Jyothi Chelayaru, Manjula Malagi and Gulabi Bilimale will share their views. The session on ’contemporary challenges’ will commence at 4pm on same day. While MD Vakkunda, KS Vimala and V Lakshminarayana will present the topic; P Bharathidevi, Ranganath Kantanakunte, Arun Jolada Koodligi and Varun Naikar will share their views.

 A seminar on ’culture and market’ will be held on December 15 at 10am. While B Shripada Bhat and Bala Gurumoorthi will present the topic; Sarjashankara, Ravikrishna Reddy, HD Prashanth and Harshakumar Kugve will share their views.

 A poets’ meet will be held at 12pm. A seminar on ’issues of coastal Karnataka’ will commence at 2.30pm. While H Nagaveni, BM Basheer and Athradi Amritha Shetty will present the topic, Vittala Bhandari, Vidya Dinker, Susheela Nada, Vittala Malekudiya and Jeevanraj Kuthar will share their views.

 Writer HS Anupama said that the literary meet will focus on unethical confluence literature with religion, politics and capitalism. "It is a matter of serious concern that fundamentalism and capitalism are engulfing literature and culture. Literature should be free from the clutches of religion, politics and capitalism," she said adding that the two-day meet will focus on these aspects.

 Dinesh Amin Mattu, who is the media advisor to chief minister Siddaramaiah, will be the guest at the valedictory to be held at 4.30pm on December 15. Writers Anasooyamma, Sanathkumar Belagali, Mavalli Shankar, Vasundhara Bhoopathi and educationist Harekala Hajabba will be the guest while K Neela will preside, Anupama said.
