NDA needs no support from other parties: DV Sadananda Gowda

Print MANGALORE: Former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda said that NDA will get majority at the centre on its own.
Gowda said that a situation will not arise for the NDA to seek support from other parties. "I was part of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s campaign in Varanasi. Modi has received overwhelming response there. Meanwhile, people were brought from outside for Rahul Gandhi’s campaign. It is evident that NDA will come to power in the election, which is to be concluded on Monday," Gowda said adding that BJP will bag more than 250 seats.
"NDA will bag more than 300 seats and will be capable of forming government without seeking support from other parties. There were discussions regarding post poll alliances, but BJP will not face any such situation. Mamata (Mamata Banerjee) and Mayawati will crave to extend support to NDA after poll results are announced on May 16," Gowda said hinting there will be no change in BJP in the state after Lok Sabha election results are announced.
"BJP has been strengthened after the return of BS Yeddurappa and Sriramulu back to party fold. The Congress state government will complete one year on May 13, but the condition of people in the state still remains pathetic. The Siddaramaiah Cabinet has become almost inactive. They (ministers) rarely visit the Vidhan Soudha. People have lost confidence in Siddaramaiah. People in most of the districts face drinking water shortage and drought. However, Siddaramaiah is not responding to people’s problems," Gowda said adding that the government is paving way for the BJP to launch protests.
