Mumbai Feb. 19 :- The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao presented the Priyadarshni Academy’s Literary Awards and scholarships at its 31st Annual Awards function held in Mumbai. Hridayesh Mayank (Hindi), Dr Aruna Dhere (Marathi), Ms Kajal Ramchandani (Sindhi) & Dhiru Parikh (Gujarati) were presented the Priyadarshni Academy Literary Awards. The Academy’s scholarships were awarded to 215 students on this occasion. BJP Spokesperson Shaina NC, Chairman Emeritus of the Priyadarshni Academy Nanik Rupani, President Niranjan Hiranandani & others were present on the occasion. In pic Dr. Aruna Dhere receiving award.

Mumbai Feb. 19 :- It’s The End, literally. Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir cinema showed Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Bollywood’s definitive romance, for the very last time this morning, 1009 weeks - almost 20 years - after it began playing on October 19, 1995. An audience of 210 watched the final show.

Mumbai Feb. 19 :- Wing Commander Paramvir Singh leads the team The Sea Hawks and has been blazing a trail of records for long in Open Water swims. He has crossed the daunting English Channel twice leading a 4-man relay team, swum two extremely tough channels in the Arabian Sea and, in 2014, he led the first team ever to swim around Mumbai in an anti-clockwise direction, mainly against the tide, recorded as the longest open water swim in Asia. He is joined in this challenge by teammates Sergeant Gullupilli Narhari, Sergeant Ankan Kumar Patel, Leading Aircraftman Vicky Tokas (all four Indian Air Force), Assistant Sub-inspector Ganesh Palande (Mumbai Police) and Manav Mehta.

Mumbai Feb. 19 :- The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao today garlanded the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj. Guardian Minister of Mumbai Subhash Desai, Minister for Transport Diwakar Raote, Mayor of Mumbai Snhal Ambekar, Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, office bearers of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Commemoration Committee and citizens were present on the occasion.
