Mumbai Aug. 21 :- The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao gave the Sadbhavana Day Pledge to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 71st Birth Anniversary of the former Prime Minister of India  late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on Thursday (20Aug). The birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi is observed as ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’.

Raj Bhavan staff joined by the staff of PWD and the Jawans of the State Reserve Police Force and Mumbai Police posted at Raj Bhavan read out the Pledge with the Governor. Earlier the Governor offered flowers to the portrait of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi. The Sadbhavana Day Pledge calls upon the people ‘to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, creed, region, religion or language’ and to ‘resolve all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence’.  Secretary to the Governor B Venugopal Reddy and Deputy Secretary Parimal Singh were prominent among those present on the occasion.

Mumbai Aug. 21 :- The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Friday announced the opening of the Sunrise Gallery and the Devi Mandir in Raj Bhavan for the general public from September 1. The newly created Sunrise Gallery – a sea facing deck overlooking the Marine Drive and the Devi Temple inside the Raj Bhavan premises will now be accessible to the people through online registration.

The Governor announced this while launching the online request portal rajbhavan-maharashtra.gov.in at Raj Bhavan on Friday in presence of officials of the National Informatics Centre and the State Bank of India. The portal has been designed on the lines of the portal of Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to the information provided on the portal, entry to Raj Bhavan will be allowed to 10 persons per day from Tuesday to Sunday excluding public holidays

. People desirous of visiting Raj Bhavan will have to register their names through the Online booking system. The Registration charges per person per day will be Rs 25. Registration charges will be payable online and will be non-refundable and non transferrable. Visitors will be free to come individually or in a group of maximum ten persons. Timings of the visit will be 0615 hrs to 0800 hrs in the morning and the reporting time will be 0600 hrs. The online registration will be subject to confirmation through email
