Gadre Marine Export Pvt Ltd signs India’s Star Chef Vikas Khanna as Brand Ambassador

Gadre Marine Export Pvt Ltd, the largest Surimi producer in India and the third largest in the world, has roped in Vikas Khanna an award winning Indian chef as their brand ambassador. Since he is one of the few Indian chefs with global presence, and is a pioneer in the F&B industry, Vikas Khanna is a strong personification of Gadre’s brand identity and exemplifies the same values that are attached with the brand.

Gadre Marine Export was originally a processing and packaging unit of frozen marine products such as shrimps, squids, cuttlefish and other fin-fish. In 1994 however an unprecedented and bold step was taken, India’s first and only Surimi manufacturing plant was set up in Ratnagiri. Gadre Marine since then became the third largest Surimi** manufacturer in the world and also started Indian operations for the frozen sea food category.

The brand is all set to launch its new campaign – "What The Fish" for the packaged Frozen food products with Vikas Khanna for the year 2015 - 16. Through this campaign the brand plans to engage with its target audience on various levels from Television commercials to digital activation. Mr. Khanna has also created a range of fun, easy to cook recipes with Gadre Seafood that are perfect for a quick snack or meal with your family. These recipes will be accessible through the website and the Webisodes of the brand. The recipes that Vikas Khanna has come up with are more than suited for the consumers and are made specifically for a quick, healthy, easy alternative to traditional cooking whether it’s a meal you want to prepare for yourself or a dish meant for your family.

With this association the brand aims to change the perception about frozen seafood in India and create more awareness about its specialties.

**Surimi (is a Japanese word) which means fish paste.  The production process is as follows

  -- Fresh fish is received from the fishing harbour in ice and maintained at 4 degrees Celsius.

 -- Headed and gutted using clean stainless steel equipment.

 --Washed thoroughly with chilled in 5 degree Celsius water.

 --Then it goes through those meat separating machines where Skin, Bones and Scales are separated from the meat and only the best portion of the fish is then used for further refining.

 -- Then washed again thrice in cold water each time draining the water to remove all the fat, blood and enzymes to then finally make a clean boneless odourless fish meat which is full of healthy fish protein to make value added ready to eat products.

  --The product is then quick frozen to -18 degrees Celsius to maintain the goodness of the fish meat and the stored in cold storage for further use.

IIFA UTSAVAM 2015 KICKS OFF WITH A PREMIERE VOTING EVENT

South Indian Cinema Stars Priyamani and Diganth among the first to cast their vote

Bangalore, October 30th, 2015: December 2015 will witness IIFA celebrations, India’s biggest Cinema event, celebrating South Indian Cinema like never before.  Marking a landmark event in the illustrious history of the Cinema of South India, The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced Fortune Sunflower Oil IIFA UTSAVAM powered by Gionee smartphone- a magnificent extravaganza envisioned to honor and recognize the best of South India’s film industry.

Spanning across three days, IIFA Utsavam will debut on the 4th, 5th & 6th of December, 2015 at Gachibowli Outdoor Stadium, Hyderabad. The broadcast partner for the extravaganza is the Sun Network, while the Title sponsor is Fortune Sunflower Oil from the Adani Group.

South Indian Cinema film stars showed their support by voting for their favourite movies and talent at the IIFA Utsavam Voting Day and announcement event held at ITC Windsor, Bangalore. Among the biggest names of South India  cinema Priyamani and Diganth were among the first to cast their vote.

Bringing together the biggest megastars from the South Indian Film Industry including Kamal Hassan, A.R Rahman, Trisha, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Mohanlal, Kavya, Madhavan, Priyadarshan, Shivrajkumar, Puneet Rajkumar, among other superstars will all congregate for one grand Utsavam- the IIFA Utsavam.

Encompassing four massive film industries of South India, the Tamil, the Telugu, the Malayalam and the Kannada - The Cinema of South India is being celebrated as a single entity. Known for its larger-than-life movies, flamboyant superstars, immense talent pool, technologically advanced productions, loyal fan following, the Cinema of the South has created waves not only in India but also made a name for itself on the global map.

Day 1 of the event will see IIFA partnering with FICCI for the FICCI-IIFA Business Forum. The forum will feature prominent film personalities, CEOs, policy makers and industry leaders meet to discuss Cinema-tourism, infrastructure, media, cinema co-productions and investment opportunities.

On Day 2, IIFA Utsavam will felicitate and celebrate talent from Tamil & Malayalam film industries.

On the final day, IIFA Utsavam will felicitate and celebrate the best talent from Kannada and Telugu cinema. Nominees be vying for 12 popular awards;  6 special awards will be presented to winners from each region. Common across the 4 language-cinemas, technical Awards will be presented for 10 categories.

To select and felicitate the best and most deserving talent, nominees would be selected through film industry voting. A Global voting process would determine the winners of the Popular Awards and Jury Voting would determine the winners of the Technical Awards.
