Pakistani-Indian couple fight their way to a fairytale wedding

Convincing your families about intercultural marriages can be tough in some cases and it gets tougher if you are from India and Pakistan. Huda from Pakistan (bride) dated Maneet from India (groom) for four years before they took the plunge to get married. Their families resisted in the beginning but as Maneet says, "Love can change someone’s belief."
Huda comes from a conservative Jain family where nobody married outside the community and his parents were apprehensive about this alliance. "From Jain to Gujarati still you do it, from Gujarati to Hindu still it happens but this was different," the groom’s mother can be seen saying in the video."It was just that she was from a different religion. Nothing else crossed their minds," says Huda in their heartwarming wedding video.
The groom’s family finally gave him an ultimatum. "They said you either choose her or you leave home.so, he left home," Huda said.The couple was devastated and has narrated their story to the world in their wedding video. Talking about their tough times, Huda recollects, "I didn’t sleep at night because I was really scared. I didn’t know how things will work out, how they will react. At least I was hoping that they would see that the level of feelings we had for each other; they were quite strong so probably they would call me back," said Manmeet.Fortunately for the couple, the parents eventually agreed and the couple had their beach wedding in Dubai.
