Shiv Sena Chief, Shri Uddhav Thackeray inaugurates Community Park  adjoining Courtyard, Thane

Mumbai, August 01, 2017: Shiv Sena Chief, Shri Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated the Community Park adjoining Courtyard, Pokhran Road no. 2, Thane, a premium residential project by The Wadhwa Group and Narang Realty. The park was handed over to the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) in the presence of various dignitaries. Mr. Eknath Shinde – Maharashtra State Cabinet Minister (MSRDC, Public Undertaking) and current MLA, Kopri-Pachpakhadi, Thane; Mr. Sanjeev Jaiswal – TMC Commissioner; Mr. Pratap Sarnaik – MLA, Ovala - Majiwada; Ms. Meenakshi Shinde – Mayor of TMC; Mr. Navin Makhija – Managing Director, The Wadhwa Group and Mr. Gopal Narang – Chairman & MD, Narang Realty were present during the inauguration.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Navin Makhija, Managing Director, The Wadhwa Group said, “The community park has been developed to  encourage people to take care of their mental and physical well-being. The natural green environment provides everyone a relief from the hustle and bustle of the hectic city life. The park boasts of a half a kilometer walkway, an all open air gymnasium, and slides & active games for children.  We aim to provide Thane residents  a holistic experience by providing them a healthier and greener environment for a better living.”

Mr. Gopal Narang, Chairman & Managing Director, Narang Realty said, “A park helps create a community and that is exactly what we at Courtyard have striven to deliver. To bring the local residents together, we created amenities like the amphitheater, yoga zone etc. We also took utmost care to retain the original flora and fauna so that the park visitors experience nature at its best"

The community park provides a green cover with around 327 trees. All the trees are evergreen, tropical and shade giving and flowering species, many of them are fruit trees like mango (Mangifera Indica) and Jamun (Syzigium cumini), some of them are of religious significance like Umbar (Fig tree) and Pimpal (Ficuls religiosa), Jamun and Trees like Ashoka are of ornamental value as well. Trees like Neem (Azadirakhta Indica), Nilgiri (Eucalyptus) and Subabhul (Leucaena leucocephala) are of medicinal importance.
