Goa: Someone rightly said “College life is that part of your life that you are going to relive till your last breath” Yes for obvious reasons this is so true. When the topic of discussion is College!! we all have endless memories to share. “its that part of our life we have lived in the most happiest and happening manner. “We dint even realise we were making memories we just knew we were having fun” reiterates Silvina Lopes the Lead character whose melodious voice is capturing every Goans heart.

Shine On Duo a popular musical duet in Goa has released their debut music video titled ‘Im in love” The Romantic Konkani Song is all about Love and Life. In our life love can come in the most mysterious ways, states Lloyd Paul the Director and Conceptualiser of the song. The song has a lot of Social Connect. The storyline being a Girl experiencing something new, feeling happy and excited about it and than trying to achieve and aspire her dreams. Today Woman Empowerment is a talked about topic in urban India. Woman dream of being independent and power of family and country. Sadly in certain parts of our country woman are still denied their fundamental rights. It is considered a Sin or Taboo for woman to be in Love. Im in love wants to portray that girl power, the freedom to sing, to express openly her feelings, the right to love the person she desires. Lloyd paul is working in association with MM films and handles artists from Mumbai and Goa.

The captivating music of the song is composed by Sidney Soares. A ardent musician and partner at Shine On Duo. Sidney also has two more compositions one being the O re Sao Joao which was part of San Joao festival in Goa and a Christmas song titled Merry Christmas to you which was featured in Crescendo Music Cds. To take music to its next level Sidney sent the song to Mumbai were Lloyd Paul and Bharat Biswa re arranged and gave a completely new flavour to the song.

People in the music and tiatr fraternity have appreciated and were all in praise for the beautiful video. “We wanted to do something very different. Why not use a konkani song and take it to the next level. The storyboard relates to the super hit bollywood song PEHLA NASHA. Romance and Love is something which can always connect to the people” opines Lester Fernandes who is the cinematographer. Lester has worked in the Goan Film industry and his latest movie being Mogan Tujea.

The focus point of this Shine On Duo production is the students from Fr. Agnel College. Sixty talented students participated in the making of the song.  The energy was so vibrant that Fr. Dr. Fredrick Rodrigues sfx principal of the college appreciated the sincere efforts of Shine On Duo.

This is  their sincere effort of the duo to bring newness to konkani music. They hope to reach out to the youth of Goa to appreciate konkani and also our Goan heritage and culture. The Song is released on 4th October 17 at Fr angels College Pilar and can be viewed on Youtube. The video has its own place on the channel. It crossed 45k views in just one weeks time. A good thing for Konkani music!!.
