Namma Mitra Foundation announces to Distributes 1000 Free Mechanical (Agricultural ) Sprayers to small farmers of Dharwad Distri
Hubbali 30th February 2018: Namma Mitra Foundation today announced that  they will  distributes 1000 Free Mechanical Sprayers to small farmers of Dharwad District on  1st February 2018 at a  function organized at . Hebasur Bhavan, Gokul road.  Near Banni Geda Bus Stop, Hubbali
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Seemma Saadikha, Founder- Director of Namma Mitra Foundation Said “The farmer who feeds all of us ,is the most neglected among all the  present day professions ,he needs support and encouragement  to achieve progress in agriculture and sustenance in his profession and life, the reason why Namma Mitra foundation  has taken this task of free distribution of  mechanical sprayers to small farmers of Dharwad district is to empower small farmers to achieve maximum yield  in his field and to complete timely cultural operations ,it is often seen that small farmers do not have sprayers with them ,when ever such need arises they have to depend on other farmers  for spray.

Often it is seen that the small farmers will be deprived of spraying pesticide  due to non- availability of sprayers  .The failure of timely action will result in lower yields ,low yields render agriculture uneconomical ,which increases poverty amongst small farmers, therefore to mitigate plight of farmers this initiative is being under taken.. sprayers can also be utilized for spraying foliar nutrition also.
Recently, on 31st   December 2017 Namma Mitra Foundation distributed 224 Water Filters to Anganwadi of entire Navalgund Taluka at a  function organized at Navalgund Utsava,
Further She added, 1500 Solar lights to street vendors were distributed  last year, 3 schools namely Devikoppa School Kalghatgi, Millat High School Alnavar and Shivalli High School, Dharwad Rural are empowered with Solar run smart class.
Namma Mitra Foundation, Founded by Dr. Seemma Saadikha, works on a wide range of projects connecting with numerous rural communities. The main focus lies in the area of Health care, Education, Self-sustenance and environment.

Namma Mitra believes in empowerment by creating sustainable employment opportunities to help establish sustainable livelihoods and improve their overall well-being. Last year the foundation installed a solar grid in Banadur village which powered street lights and 70 houses with sufficient electricity for lighting and charging. The children now have the luxury of studies after sunset, while the residents have better visibility. Introduction of E-Shala (E-Learning Program), enabled students a chance at higher and quality education as compared to prevailing system limited to standard 5. All content is in Kannada and English, making it easier for the children to learn and understand all subjects from class 5 to class 10. The foundation has been actively conducting Medical Camps in remote villages across Karnataka region providing free check-ups, consultation and distribution of medicines and supplements to the needy. More recently a Cell Phone repair training camp was conducted in the village with a more hands-on practical experience.

In Kukrewada where people have to travel 1km through the jungle to reach the village. NammaMitra has provided individualsolar units which provides 2 LED tube lights with one LED bulb and mobile charging unit to each house including the community centre and 5 street lights (the system can be used from 6pm to 6am.
In Druparthiwada NammaMitra has installed solar mini grid which provides each house with 2 tube lights and mobile charging unit, 5 street lights, the community center, the school and the anganwadi is also supported with solar (the system provides clean energy from 6pm to 6 am).
