Print Sanskrit Day Celebrated at Anandathirtha Vidyalaya.
Students of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya, Pajaka, Udupi celebrated World Sanskrit Day with much fun and festivity. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers alike.
The program began with the melodious chanting of hymns in Sanskrit. The festivities started with an invocation song, followed by a speech by Sanskrit teacher and scholar Yadunandan. He spoke about the importance of the language and lauded the efforts of those who upheld its sanctity in a modern world of technology and scientific advancement.
A skit enacted by students was the highlight of the programme. This was followed by a presentation of songs and dances by trained students. The quiz that followed made participants put on their thinking caps, while teachers helped in the smooth conduct of the programme in tune with the discipline of the institute.
The programme was coordinated by school Principal Geetha Kotian and all teachers.
