Simplicity of Gandhiji made him as Mahatma : Dr. Ismail N
    Gandhiji spent most of his life time with those people who lived in the lowest strata of the society. This simplicity of mingling with the people made Gandhiji as Mahatma Said  Dr. Ismail, Retired Principal of Badriya P U College Mangaluru
    He was the Chief Guest of the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhiji held at Dr.Shivarama Karantha Bhavan organized by University Evening College, Mangaluru. While addressing the Gathering he said that, Mahatma Gandhiji left behind his ideas for us even during his assassination. His principles of Non- violence, Brotherhood, Tolerance were influenced from various religions of the world and his ideas were grown from the grass route level.
    Dr. Jayavsantha Nayak, coordinator of M A Economics of University College, Magaluru said that, the present generation is using the name of Mahatma Gandhi for their benefit, but no one is ready to follow his ideas. India failed to adopt the ideas of Mahatma Gandhiji like Grama Swarajya to build the strong economy which is the major cause of today’s farmers,villages and environmental problems.
    Dr. Ramakrishna B M, Principal of the College, who presided over the function said that Gandhian economic ideas are simple and more relevant to the development of the Indian economy. He further said that, if the youths of the nation adopt the ideas of Mahatma Gandhiji in their daily life, India’s overall development is possible.
    Dr. Devadas Pai, Coordinator of M A Konkani, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and students of University Evening College, Mangaluru were Present in the Programme. Ms. Ashwini Welcome, Mr. Nithin Kumar introduced the Guest, Ms. Madhushri J Shriyan elivered Vote of Thanks. Mr. Abdul Rahiman narrated the Programme.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸದಾ ಚಲನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕು - ಪ್ರೊ. ದಯಾನಂದ ನಾಯ್ಕ್

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಒಂದು ದೇಶದ ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳವನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಲು ಈ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಬಹಳ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರಜೆಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾದಾಗ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಕಾನಾನು ಕಾಯ್ದೆಗಳು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಬೇಕು, ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಕಾಲ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಿರುವುದರಿಂದ  ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸದಾ ಚಲನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ದಯಾನಂದ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.ದಿನಾಂಕ 29-09-2018 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಲಲಿತಕಲಾ ಸಂಘ ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಜಂಟಿ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಅವರು “ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರಿಸರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಹಲವಾರು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾನೂನು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಇದೇ ಸಂಧರ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಚಲಿತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಾಸಕಾಂಗ, ಕಾರ್ಯಾಂಗ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಂರಚನೆ , ಕಾರ್ಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ, ಯಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಸಂಧÀರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತಹ ಸಂಧರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ, ಭಾರತದ ಸಂವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಬಿ.ಎಂ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವಜನತೆ ತಮಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಿರುವ ಕಾನೂನು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಯಿದೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಒಳಿತು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಎ.ಸಿದ್ಧಿಕ್, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಕು. ಮಧುಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ. ಶ್ರೀಯಾನ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಮ್ಮದ್ ರಿಝ್ವಾನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ನಾಝೀರ್ ಹುಸೈನ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಪ್ರಭು ಧನ್ಯವಾಧ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು, ಹರ್ಷಿತ್‍ರಾಜ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಹಿಂದಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹ’ದ ಸಮಾಪನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ

ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ನಗರದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಿಂದಿ ಸಂಘ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ‘ಹಿಂದಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹ’ದ ಸಮಾಪನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಥಮದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಿಂದಿ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ. ಶಿವರಾಮ ಸಮಾಪನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಷಿಯಸ್‍ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಿಂದಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಡಾ. ಮುಕುಂದ್‍ ಪ್ರಭು ಅವರಿಂದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ವಾರ ಕಾಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಜಯಾ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಶಾಖೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ “ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ವಿಜಯಾ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ನ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಭಾಷಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿ ವಿಜಯಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಾ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಿಂದಿ ಸಂಘದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಡಾ. ನಾಗರತ್ನ ಎನ್‍.ರಾವ್‍, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ಉದಯ್‍ ಕುಮಾರ್‍ ಎಂ.ಎ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮಣಿಕಾಂತ್‍ ಮತ್ತು ಜೊತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮಿಸ್ರಿಯಾ ಪರ್ವೀನ್‍ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Dignity of Labour Emphasised during Anandathirtha Vidyalaya’s - Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations

Anandathirtha Vidyalaya, Kunjarugiri, Udupi celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi in its campus on a grand note. Nagaraj Thallanje, Chief Warden of Anandathirtha Hostels inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the lamp. Chief Administrator Gurudatt Somayaji addressed the gathering and said that India secured its independence through non-violence which inspired many other great world leaders like Nelson Mandela. He added that Mahatma Ganghiji proved to the world that freedom could be won without using any weapons and causing any violence.

Principal Geetha S Kotian led the students’ community in ‘Sarva Dharma Prarthana’ and recitation of Bhajans. The hostel students sang songs of patriotism and read out the importance of the day.

After the stage programme, the students and the staff took part in cleaning the premises of the school. Scouts and Guides trainer Rajvardhan proposed a vote of thanks.

Overwhelming Response to Third Edition of MET & HTS 201

The third edition of MET ( Material Engineering & Technology )  and HTS ( Heat Treat Show )  concluded  recently at Cidco Exhibition and Conference Centre , Vashi , Navi Mumbai and was a roaring success . This three day  event witnessed   the creme de la creme from industry , government  and academia in participation and provides the ideal platform for extremely futuristic technologies and processes to be taken forward and implemented . This event is the brainchild of ASM( A  Society Of Materials ) India chapter .
Nitin Gadkari ,  Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Shipping , did the honours for this edition .  Addressing the gathering Nitin  Gadkari stated that he was delighted by the fact that events of this nature would provide an ideal platform for industry , government and academia to come together and work together for the progress of the nation in key areas like infrastructure and defence . He further added that innovation and research in the key and cited multiple examples of projects in countries like Malaysia . Among the other keynote speakers on this occasion was Sajjan Jindal of JSW , Shailendra Roy of L &T , Sunil Kulkarni of Mahindra & Mahindra , Pradeep Goyal, Chairman of MET and Dr. Frederick  E . Schmidt , Chairperson , ASM International and  Prem  Aurora , Secretary  MET
The next 2 days had a hectic schedule with 7 sessions covering areas of materials required  in all areas of transportation ,defense and power and a third session on advances in heat treatment . Number of papers presented were 19 in heat treatment and 27 in MET and there were 7 plenary talks given by Dr .Kamachi Mudali CEO, Heavy water board , Dr. Fred Schmidt, President ASM international, Dr .Sudarshan of Matmod USA and past trustee, Mr . Agarwal from Railways , Mr .Eshwara Prasad Director ,Dmsrde, Dr.  Satyam Sahay of John Deere and a few others . The event was was attended by 250 plus delegates from all over the country and abroad .There were around 4000 plus  focussed visitors in 3 days which speaks volumes of the  popularity of event.

 The MET & HTS are two important and the largest collaborative platforms of all Indian and International Material Engineering Technology and allied Industries. The MET & HTS 2018 will focus on Defense, Infrastructure (Energy; Roads; Railways; Shipping; Aviation) and Heat Treatment. MET & HTS 2018 being organized by ASM International - India Chapter along with TAFCON, is an ideal platform for the organizations to showcase their latest achievements, initiatives, technologies, machinery & equipment, R&D, logistics, communication, safety and health aspect of Defense, Infrastructure, Heat Treatment and allied industries

ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕಿ ಸುಧಾರಾಣಿ, “ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಎಂಬುವುದೊಂದು ನಂಬಿಕಸ್ಥ ಗೆಳೆಯನಿದ್ದಂತೆ. ಓದು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಜ್ಞಾನಾರ್ಜನೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವಿಧಾನವಾಗಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು. ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತೆ ರಾಜಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಕೊಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಓದುವ ಹಸಿವಾದವ ಯಾವುದೇ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಒಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಓದಬಲ್ಲ. ಓದಿನಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಎಂದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ತೇಜಶ್ರೀ, ಮಾಲತೇಶ್, ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ, ನಯನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ವಿಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ, ಸುಚೇತಾ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಾವು ಓದಿದ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ಉದಯ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಂ.ಎ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಡಾ. ರತ್ನಾವತಿ ಟಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಸುಶ್ಮಿತಾ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಅರ್ಪಿತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
