Bangalore: The body of a missing woman was found in a water tank in her flat. The body of Gauri Nagaraj, 49, who lives in a private flat complex in Yelahanka Newtown, was found in the water tank of the same flat. Her husband had complained to the police that he had not seen Gauri since July 24.
Some inmates asked the plumber to check the water tank as the water in the flat smelled bad. The plumber then opened the tank and found the body in a decomposing state.
According to police, Gauri Nagaraj committed suicide by jumping into a water tank. Police also recovered their suicide note. He was a real estate broker and was involved in some financial problems. Gauri had taken money from several people saying that she could buy a backyard through Jayasurya Developers. But the firm did not provide space for customers after the money was purchased. Following this, the customers turned against Gauri. It is reported that this led to the suicide. Police have registered a case against Jayasurya Developers owners Gopi, Bhargava and Devarajappa following references in the suicide note.
