School must ensure the holistic development of its students. -Dr. HS Ballal

A meeting of the Association of ICSE and CBSE school (AICS) Principals of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts was held on June 28 at the Madhavakripa School, Manipal. Dr. HS Ballal , the president of Academy of General Education Manipal and Pro-Chancellor of MAHE University was as the chief guest. In his speech, Dr. Ballal reiterated that we can make better progress when more emphasis is given to holistic development of students in schools and the Principals have to lead from the front. He also highlighted the importance of NEP 2020.

Handing over of power to the new officers of AICS was also held in this meeting. Outgoing President - Principal of Lourdes Central School Rev Fr Robert D Souza, Outgoing Secretary -Principal of Manipal School Mrs. Anuradha Shivaram, Outgoing Treasurer – Principal of Little Rock Indian School Dr. John Thomas, New President – Principal of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara English Medium School Sri. Manmohan Naik K.G, New Secretary – Principal of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya Smt. Geetha S. Kotian, New Treasurer – Principal of St Aloysius Gonzaga School Rev. Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo were on the stage.

Smt. Jessy Andrews, Principal of Madhavakripa School welcomed the dignitaries. Principal of Jnana Ganga Central School Mrs. Dechamma Thelapanda Madappa proposed the vote of thanks. Madhava Kripa School Counsellor Smt. Deepali Mukhyopadhyay was the emcee.

ಉಡುಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಐಸಿಎಸ್ಇ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್ಇ ಶಾಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಸಭೆ ಜೂನ್ 28ರಂದು ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಮಾಧವಕೃಪಾ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆತಿಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು . ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಫ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಎಜುಕೇಷನ್ ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೂ, ಮಾಹೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಹ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಆಗಿರುವ  ಡಾ. ಹೆಚ್ . ಎಸ್ . ಬಲ್ಲಾಳ್ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬೆಳೆವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಒತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ನಾವು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಯುವ ಸಮೂಹ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ನಾವು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಶೀಲ ದೇಶಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದು, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಲು ನೆರವಾಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿಯೂ ಪೂರಕವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಐಕ್ಸ್ ನ ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರವೂ ಈ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ - ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ರೆ.ಫಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ಡಿ’ ಸೋಜ, ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ - ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನುರಾಧಾ ಶಿವರಾಮ್, ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಕೋಶಾಧಿಕಾರಿ - ಲಿಟ್ಲ್ ರಾಕ್ ಶಾಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ಜಾನ್ ಥಾಮಸ್, ನೂತನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ - ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಎಮ್. ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಉಜಿರೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್, ನೂತನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ - ಆನಂದ ತೀರ್ಥ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಗೀತಾ ಎಸ್ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾನ್, ನೂತನ ಕೋಶಾಧಿಕಾರಿ - ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೋಂಝಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ರೆ. ಫಾ. ಮೆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಅನಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಾಧವಕೃಪಾ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆಸ್ಸಿ ಆಂಡ್ರ್ಯೂಸ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಜ್ಞಾನಗಂಗಾ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೇಚಮ್ಮ ತೇಲಪಂಡ ಮಾದಪ್ಪ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾಧವ ಕೃಪಾ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ. ದೀಪಾಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯ ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರ್ವಹಿದರು.
