Ajay Devgn, Priya Dutt hoist National Flag, unveiled Rashtriya Shaheed Smarak conceptual​ized by Vile Parle MLA Krishna Hegde

National Award winning Actor Ajay Devgn and Smt. Priya Dutt (MP) hoisted the National Flag, inaugurated the Rashtiya Shaheed Smarak and paid homage to Martyrs Lance Naik Hemraj, Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh, Capt. Vinayak Gore and Major Dattatray Pathak at Vile Parle this morning.They were joined by the families of Shaheed Major Dattatray Pathak and Veermata Anuradha tai Gore mother of Shaheed Capt. Vinayak Gore.

Shri Ajay Devgn and Veermata Anuradha tai Gore inaugurated the park while MP Priya Dutt hoisted the National Flag, the trio unveiled the Rashtriya Shaheed Smarak which was conceptualized by Vile Parle MLA Krishna Hegde.Former MP Sudha Joshi, Corporators Winnie D’Souza, Binita Vora, Kamlesh Rai, Ex-Corporators Jayanti Siroya, Jagdish Amin, Bharati Dhongade were present along with over 4000 Parlekars.

Veermata Anuradha tai Gore addressed the gathering and congratulated MLA Krishna Hegde for having built a Shaheed Smarak in Vile Parle which has a maximum numbers of Martyrs in Mumbai. She said that this is the most memorable gift Parlekars would have received from him.

MLA Krishna Hegde thanked Shri Ajay Devgn, MP Priya Dutt, Veermata Anuradha tai Gore, Shaheed Dattatray Pathak’s family for unveiling the Rashtriya Shaheed Smarak and said that it would inspire generations. The Rashtriya Shaheed Smarak is in the form of a 8ft. ‘Lion’made of Bronze.Hegde said that the Brave Martyrs of our country are like Lions and Veermata Anuradha tai Gore was his inspiration and dedicated the memorial to all the Martyrs of our country.
