PASSION PLAY “KHURSA THAUN”[From the Cross]
The Diocese of Udupi, with Blessings of our beloved Bishop, His Lordship Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, and under the auspices of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi will be presenting the emotive and spiritually inspiring Konkani Play“Khursa Thaun” (From the Cross) at Udupi church grounds on Palm Sunday, the 24th March 2013 at 6 p.m.
Based on the teachings and passion of our Lord Jesus, it is written with in depth feelings and contemplation by Mr. Walter Monteiro. Versatile Director Mr. John M. Permannur has given expressive and captivative direction. Famous compere and organizer Mr. Vincent Alva, Pambur has wielded the overall inputs and arrangements with excellence. Popular composer Rev. Frs. Valereian Mendonca and Clement Mascarenhas have presented tranquil and ever cherishing compositions. With over 70 artists, from various parishes of the Diocese, the show will be presented on three stages.
