Print Udupi : The Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls of Milagres English Medium School Kallianpur celebrated ‘World Thinking Day’ (Lord Baden Powell’s B day) on Friday, February 22 during the morning assembly. .
The programme commenced with an all faith prayer service. The Guide Deeksha Jathan compered the programme. The significance of the day was described by the scouts leader through a speech.
A dance on “Say no to Plastic” reverberated with eco awareness theme. A short play on “Unkept promises” spelled the need to be committed to society. It was followed by an action song and Mime.
Headmaster Rev Fr Lancy Fernandes wished the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and bulbuls on their special day and praised them for their societal activities. Guide Adishree proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the song ‘Har Desh Mein Tu’ and singing of school anthem.
