Udupi : L. V. P Aided Higher Primary School, Puttur, Santhekatte near here celebrated Annual School Day on Friday, 16^th December, 2016.

The school day began with flag hoisting ceremony by B. Ganesh Nayak Entrepreneur and Manjunath Naik Education Convener Manipal Hobali was the chief guest. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, B. Chandrakanth Naik C.M.C. Councilor and Kadamballi Vishwanath Acharya V. P. Builders were the guests of honour. Prizes were distributed to cademic and sports competition winners.

The stage programme of the Annual School day celebrations began with invocation prayer dance bu the students.

Rev Fr. Lawrence D’souza Secretary of Udupi Diocese Catholic Education Society was presided over the stage programme at noon. Nagesh Shanbaug Educational Officer of Brahmavara Zone was the chief guest. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, B. Chandrakanth Naik, Jci Purandara President of JCI, KJallianpura, Sadashiva Acharya President of PTA, Dr. Nery Cornelio President of Old Students Association and Florine Mascarenhas, Headmistress of the school were present on the dais.

After the school academic report placed by Florine Mascarenhas, meritorious students were honoured with prizes by the guests on the dais. Florine Mascarenhas was felicitated on account of ‘Adarsh Award’ on teachers’ day by the guests on the dais.

In his address Nagesh Shanbaug appreciated the motives and standard of the school which appreciated by everyone. Under the leadership of Headmistress along with staff of the school, the school would be progressing with success in various activities as well as in education. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo and Chandrakanth Naik were spoke on the occasion.

Rev Fr. Lawrence D’souza gave his presiding address. Various cultural entertainment programmes with skits, dances and other displayed during the occasion. Symala teacher welcomed the gatherings earlier. Irene Menezes teacher placed the introduction on Florine Mascarenhas. The school students Ganesh Pai and Bhayva Nayak compered the stage programme beautifully.
