Udupi : Sauhardha Samithi Udupi, Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Central Committee and Udupi church unit and Our Lady of Sorrows Church jointly organized Sarva Dharma Christmas celebration at here on Wednesday, 28^th December, 2016.

Rev Fr. Clifford Fernandes Professor at St. Joseph’s Seminary was the chief guest. He inaugurated the celebrations with switching on the button of Christmas Tree near the Crib.

In his message Fr. Clifford Fernandes said that people today ready to die for religion. They never understand that religion is a way of life. People are forgotten the values of humanity. God has made human and so human for the God. We should live better that the religion is mode of worship. There should be mode of conduct whichever the religions would be.

He said that God never ask us the way of worshiping Him, but how one’s life in the society. We need these types of programmes in order to unite us with brotherhood. There is only face of God to all the worshipers of various religions. Those are not love God who is not visible in our eyes, how can we love others human. We should wipe the tears of others who suffer and spread the message of love, peace and compassion.

Very Rev Fr. Fredrick Mascarenhas Parish Priest of Our Lady of Sorrows Church Udupi was presided over the programme. Dr. Nikethan Asst. Professor at Government First Grade College at Tenkanidiyoor, Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gondsalves Spiritual Director of Diocesan Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Janab Akbar Ali Jamath Islami Hind State Advising Committee, Valerian Fernandes President of Catholic Sanbha Udupi Pradesh, Boneface D’Souza Vice President of Udupi Parish Pastoral Council, Benedicta Fernandes President of Catholic Sabha Udupi unit and Alphonse D’Costa, Convener of Sauhardha Committee, Udupi were present on the dais.

Earlier Alphonse D’Costa welcomed the gatherings. Janab Mohammed Maula proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Clara Mathias Headmistress of St. Mary’s Higher Primary School compered the programme.
