Udupi : Scores of devotees thronged at MGM College ground to seek blessings from Mata Amritanandamayi, also popularly known as Amma or hugging Saint near here on Saturday, 25^th February, 2017.

Addressing the scores of devotees gathered at MGM College grounds, she said that God is indivisible oneness devoid of all boundaries or separation. Mother nature, the atmosphere, the birds and other animals, the plants and trees – each and every atom is overflowing with this divine power. God is fully present in all that is sentient and insentient. When we fully understand the truth, we can do something but love ourselves as well as everyone around us.

The first nipple of love emerges from within us. We are able to purify the love inherent in us, it will gradually expand to encompass the world. Humanity has advanced in the field of education. But at the same time, society is drowsing in religious division, enmity in the name of political views, crimes, rape and other forms of violence against women etc. Even educated youth from well to do families are getting involved a gangs. They become addicted to drugs ad alcohol. This addiction devastates this own life as well as lives of others.

Today mankind has became a walking disaster. While natural disasters may not be our control. We do have some technology that can signal us as they are approaching. However Science has not yet to invent a device that can detect the disasters man carries in his mind. The biggest problem we face is a mind that lacks discernment – a selfish mind that does not allow us to see the sorrows of others. Most people only think of their own happiness and what they can receive from others.

The circumstances of life will always keep changing. Change is nature’s unchanging law. However it is we who make experience better or sweeter – our mind and our attitude. As long as we are unable to bring our mind under control, sorrow will continue to hunt us down. However once the mind comes under our control, there no problem or tragedy cab devastate or paralyze us. In reality the foundation of happiness is gratitude. When the mind becomes filled with gratitude, we will spontaneously become happy.

The solution to most of the problems faced by society is value based education. There are two types of education; education for livelihood and education for life. We study in college and universities, striving to become doctor, Engineer, lawyer etc., it is education for livelihood. Education for life is the cultivation of spiritual understanding – i.e. understanding the nature of the world and nature of our mind which will help us to adjust to all the different situations that come in life. We all know the goal of education is not to create people who can only understand the language of machine. Instead its main purpose should be to impart a culture of the heart – a culture based on moral and spiritual values. But unfortunately we are forgetting this.

Our ego blocks the flow of God’s grace. All negatives like anger, lust and greed arise from the ego.

Environment protection is one of the greatest issues mankind faces today. If only we would walk along the path shown by our ancestors, we could easily find solutions to the problems we are facing in this area. In the past, people didn’t need to try protecting nature. This is because their way of life itself protected nature. Environmental protection was inherent in their very lifestyle, worship and cultural customs. Reverance and respect towards all creatures and creation was an integral part of their life.

Compassion is the unconditional law if creation. The beginning sustenance and culmination of every individual, society and the world is compassion. If we go against this law, even the most powerful kingdom or human being cannot survive. That is the reason why it is stressed that life should be raised on the foundation of compassion.

Love is wealth that makes the one who gives happier than the one who receives. It is the wealth we possess but are yet to become aware of. It is the footprints of love that stay imprinted forever in the path of time. It is the weapon that over powers the most powerful enemy. Love is not to be kept in pockets, but must be expressed in action. Love cannot defeated any person’s ego. It is the real measure of our success in life.

Earlier Amma visited the Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment and also district in charge minister of Udupi district, Pramod Madhwaraj’s house after which she visited Sharadha Kalyan Mantap near to MGM College grounds and proceeded towards the there in procession.

After the invocation prayer, the stage programme held at beautiful arranged hi-tech dais. Amma was garlanded by eight dignitaries’ on the dais. Amma distributed four charitable projects like Cow donation (Gou-Dhan) to five members, Water purifiers donation for ten schools, Amala Bharata Kit donation for eleven members and Amrita Shree lauding for thirty members.

Pramod Madhwaraj said that it will be his destiny to receive world saint Amma during his tenure as minister as well as district in charge minister. She is the power to the people and the world. Crores of devotees get benefit from her in their life all around the corner of the world.

Shobha Karandleje also spoke during the occasion and said that God has given special power to her and she has been power of India and ambassador of vast development through her university and other charitable institutions as well. Dr. H. S. Ballal Pro-Chancellor of Manipal University also spoke and declared that Manipal University has been ready to cooperate with Amma’s University for the betterment of poor people.

State Endowment Minister Rudrappa Manappa Lamani, Sunil Kumar MLA of Karkala, Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC and other were present on the dais.

Raghupathy Bhat former MLA and President of the organizing committee welcomed the gatherings. Anand C Kundar delivered the vote of thanks.

After the stage programme, meditation and bhajan session was held till next day.
