Udupi : Dedication programme of newly renovated ‘A’Ward at Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital here was inaugurated by the chief guest Rev Dr. Chandra S. Soans, Senior Pastor, Grace Trinity United of Church of Christ, Executive Director, Grace Neighborhood Development Corporation, Philadelphia.

The programme was presided by Rt Rev Mohan Manoraj, Bishop, Karnataka Southern Diocese. The guests of honours present were Dr. Simon George, Dean – Academics, T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, Shabih Ahmed Kazi President of Jamiyyatul Falah, Udupi unit, Rev Joseph Jamkhandi, Bethel Pentecostal Church, Udupi.

Lombard Memorial Hospital in Udupi is in the process of undergoing major renovation and modernization. The hospital established by Dr. Eva Lombard in 1923 has well served the community of Udupi for 94 years and has recently started to upgrade its facilities and equipment. It is conserved the oldest and most prestigious hospital in Udupi.

The newly renovated A ward will provide improved and better facilities catering to the need of the patients. The additional rooms are upgraded and modernized so as to give better care and comfort to the patient and the family members. There will be 18 single rooms with all the facilities with super deluxe, deluxe and special rooms. Keeping with tradition of Mission Hospital these rooms are available for affordable prices. Utmost care will be provided to all the patients by our well qualified duty doctors who provide round the clock services and by our experienced staff nurses. Dr. Shushil Jathanna also said that the hospital vision is to become a super specialty hospital providing high quality care at affordable costs and therefore all the facilities and equipment are being upgraded. More services will also be provided in the near future with plans to develop cardiac and cancer services.

Lombard Memorial Mission Hospital which is a charitable hospital has now undergone the process of significant renovation and modernization to improve the facilities and services for patients in Udupi and the surrounding areas. It is the oldest hospital in Udupi and is well known for its maternity and child care services. The hospital is now a multispecialty hospital and consultants are available in all specialties.
