Print Kemmannu March 05: Annual Catechism day was celebrated at Kemmannu St Theresa Church on Sunday March 05. The day marks the end of catechism classes for the Christian students.
Parish Priest Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves along with Br. Rohan Dias celebrated the holy mass. Br. Rohan, In his homily asked the parents to see their wards to attend catechism classes as education coupled with good moral values develops a perfect individual. Sunday mass liturgy was managed by the students.
A stage function was held at the church hall. Children presented Dance skits.. Prizes were distributed to the students who secured highest marks in the catechism exams and who attended the classes’ with 100% attendance. Catechism teachers were also felicitated with gifts and gratitude.
The skits, which were presented, were well appreciated by the gathered crowd. Breakfast sponsored by was served to all who were present. Catechism convener Mrs.Jyothi Baretto. Mrs. Jyothi Lewis, Convent sisters and Catechism teachers co-ordinated to make the day a memorable one.
