Udupi : During the BJP rule in the state, the illegal sand mining mafia started and till now the illegal sand mining existed in the state. Due to vast corruption the BJP government in the state fell down and now present congress party not able to pay attention in severe drought situation in the state, said H. D. Kumaraswamy President of Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and former chief minister of Karnataka.
Speaking with party workers meeting at Kaup, he said due to various corruption cases on BJP in the state, the congress party took advantage and got the power in the state. The JDS workers and leaders camping in drought hit districts in the state, but both Congress and BJP leaders looking to preparation for the election. These parties not interest to solve the various problems in the state like drought situation, food for animals and other various issues. Due to various serious problems, the people of Karnataka state fed up with ruling Congress Government.
Politics is the art of possibility, H. D. Kumaraswamy said. The national two parties BJP and Congress know about how to win in the elections rather do not know how to face the problems of the people. These parties busy with preparing upcoming both elections of state and national.
Everywhere in the country, Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India giving speeches and asked to prepare the election. What work has done by the Modi government? he asks. What is the contribution for the country for the people?. Nothing. But people of the country mad with Modi Modi without any needed achievements. Due to demonetization, the country had lost about Rs. 60000 to 65000 crore. Only rich people may benefit rather the poor. The rich people made their black money into white and there were safe, he said.
Aadhar card system was brought by the UPA government at the centre. Then Gujarat Chief Minster rejected the Aadhar card system. Meanwhile GST bill was proposed by the UPA government in both houses of parliament. That also BJP rejected the bill. But central government brought Aadhar Card system compulsory to all. Without Aadhar card very difficult now. Meanwhile GST bill also come in force in the country. Earlier that bill rejected by the Modi when he was chief minister of Gujarat. So, politics is art of possibility.
There is no safety to Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir state. The state people were throwing stones to soldiers. Where is the government? he asks.
Terrorism not decreased in the state rather high in India. All these failures of the Central government not come in the picture. There is no democracy in the country. The central government get answer in future for its failure in all ways. There is no safety to women or common man.
Coastal areas of Karnataka very developed. But now a days there is no freedom to the common man. How the senior government officials can get safety in coastal places. In the name of religion the development of the state diminished, he said. He went to Bappanadu Temple at Mulki, then he met the priest there. The priest said to him that Bappadnad temple at Mulki built by Muslims on 800 years back.
Speaking with media persons, H. D. Kumaraswamy said that there is no question arises to having entered into tacit understanding with Congress or any other party about fighting the next assembly elections. Whatever news regarding the internal understanding with other national parities is completely false and baseless. We have bitter experience here before of having coalition government in Karnataka. Even if it results in instability we will not enter into electoral alliance with any parties.
Regarding the just concluded elections, Kumaraswamy said that the money power dominated the election and due to that Congress candidate won in the election.
Earlier, Vasudev Rao Working President of Udupi district JDS welcomed the gatherings. Yogish Shetty placed his key note address. B. M. Farook General Secretary of JDS, State unit and B.B. Lingayya MLA and former minister were spoke during the meeting.
Amarnath Shetty, Shalini Shetty Kenchanoor, Iqbal Mohd., Sachine JE., Divakar, Jayakumar, Wilfred Gomes, Rajesh Mendon and other JDS leaders were present.
Large number of people joined the JDS party on the occasion and H.D. Kumarswamy put JDS shawl to new comers in the party. Earlier HD Kumaraswamy expected for the meeting at 10 am, but he arrived to Kaup at 1pm. The workers and others waited the JDS state leaders three hours long.
