Udupi : Our target is to win all five assembly seats in Udupi district during forthcoming assembly elections, said Vishwas Amin, the newly elected President of District Youth Congress.

He was speaking to media persons at the Congress Bhavan on Saturday, 20^th May, 2017,  said that as per the instruction from Rahul Gandhi, Vice President of Indian National Congress Committee, the Youth Congress elections held all over districts of the state.

The elections of the Udupi district Youth Congress Committee was completed with peacefully without any incidents. A total of 12,000 youth congress members have registered their names for the primary membership in the district. About 2,000 members had voting rights in the youth congress elections which 1,200 members had cast their votes, he said.

The internal youth congress office bearers’ elections concluded. Now we are looking for strengthen the party from booth level. We will plan to train congress workers at booth level. We entered politics with the intention to serve the people. The installation ceremony of the District Youth Congress Committee will be held soon at Town Hall, Udupi after the announcing the President of State Youth Congress. The vacant 17 Youth Congress posts will be filled within 15 days. The members of various communities like minority, SC & ST and others will be given 17 youth congress posts, he said.
