Udupi : Sri Rama Sene and Hindu Jana Jagaruthi Samithi activists jointly organized protest at near Clock Tower here on Sunday, 2^nd July, 2017, with chanting prayers and Bhajans against the row on Iftaar Koota and Namaz at Sri Krishna Math premises under the leadership of Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math.

The silence protest was inaugurated by lighting lamp by Mohan Bhat Secretary of Sri Rama Sene, Mangaluru unit along with Vijaya Kumar Convener of Hindu Jana Jagruthi Samithi.

Speaking on the occasion Mohan Bhat said that we have respect to the Swamiji, he is our guru, but the Hindu community pained due to the said Iftaar Koota as well as Namaz in the premises of Sri Krishna Math which is holy to Hindus. In fact, the sense of giving food to them is different matter, but the allowing to Namaz at the premises what we are pained and should not repeated in the Sri Krishna Math. Therefore, today all over the state, Sri Rama Sena organized peaceful protest with chanting bhajans and prayers. He further said that we are not against Iftaar, but holding prayers in the Math in future should not be repeated.

Mohan Bhat said that we have no intention to spark communal unrest not any politics in it. We are going to give awareness to all concerned that such Namaz of Muslims never repeated in future. No one should make politics in this regard. Some political leaders said that they form a human chain to stop us. He questions that when Udupi Chalo protest programme, where are they and their human chain at Sri Krishna Math?. All over the state when any harm arises on Hindu religion, Sri Rama Sena has been the first to stand up and raise the matters. Now also similarly, the Hindu Communities got insulted and Sri Rama Sene raised the matter all over.

Vijay Kumar Convener of Hindu Jana Janagruthi Samith little aggressive while speaking and said that the every Math or temple will be holy for Hindus. It is such holy that no one allowed to put chapels in the temples that the place of temple is purely Holy to Hindus. In such place, the Iftaar as well as Namaz was organized which severely hurting the sentiments of Hindus. When Pakistan is winning cricket match, these people in India were celebrated with crackers and other way. The Cows is worshiped by Hindus as God. And these people are eating beef which we worshiped as God. Our objection is that holding any Iftaar and Namaz in the temple premises in future also.

He said that we met Pejawar Swamiji and told our concern regarding the Namaz and Iftaar that Swamiji has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu Community.

Every part of the temple premises is part of the temple. So Sri Krishna Math should be purified. Pejawar Swamiji should tender an public apology for the Hindu community and also he should purify the temple premises using cow urine, failing which we will intensify our struggle through peaceful means all over the state, he said.

SRS President Dinesh Pangala, Jayaram Bhat spokesperson, Ramesh Salethur, Ravi Kumar Udyavara and other activists of SRS and HJS were present.
