Udupi : After historical win by the Pramod Madhwaraj at the gap of 39,524 more votes in previous assembly election, it is our target to reach Pramod Madhwaraj’s achievements to people’s houses to houses, said Amrith Shenoy, President of Udupi Legislative Assembly constituency Congress Campaign Committee.

He was speaking to media persons in press meet held at Hotel Woodlands here on Wednesday, 12^th July, 2017, he said that after he has elected as member of Udupi legislative assembly, able to brought Rs. 1769 crore aid for the development in the district. He has initiated effective development in the constituency by taking into the confidence the people of all religions and castes.

Some of the major important projects and developmental works as Malpe – Padukere Bridge Rs. 16.91 crore, Bayalu Rangamandira, Beedinagudde, Udupi, Near Brahmavara Agricultural Centre Agricultural College at Rs. 4 crore, NuARM bus services for City and Urban areas, 24 hours electricity supply for Udupi contitutency, Hi-tech Women Fish Market, Swimming pool at Ajjarkad, district Sports Ground, Synthetic Track establishment, Synthetic Lawn Tennis, shuttle Badminton and Basket Ball ground and many more.

Rs. 12.75 crore for backward communities and Rs. 9.06 crores for minorities utilized in Udupi district. Hindu Religious centers development Rs. 3.28 crore and self employment and industries Rs. 49.86 crore utilized. For the health facilities Rs. 17.07 spent.

For the Fisheries development Rs. 284.71 crores aid given and for State Highways developmental projects Rs. 9.00 crore given.  The relief fund for fishermen in cases of death in the sea has been increased from Rs. 2 lac to Rs. 5 lacs.

Meanwhile Brahmavar new taluk also declared with the efforts from Pramod Madhwaraj. At Kodankoor the colony called Pramod Madhwaraj Colony established which will be record in the state.

When asked about the stay order to run the JnURM buses, the allegation by the BJP leaders that due to Pramod Madhwaraj the problem was created, then Amrith Shenoy said that we are not against the private bus owners. Whoever and whichever the political party belongs private bus owners should consulted the district in charge minister, RTO and KSRTC officials prior to moving a petition to the High Court, now inconvenience is caused to the public due to stay order to said buses in the district.

When asked about the BJP’s allegation on the construction and naming the colony after Pramod Madhwaraj, Amrith Shenoy said that the residents of the colony’s demand to name after him due to may be Pramod Madhwaraj’s efforts in section of the land and also the efforts to construct the colony for them. It may be the owners of colony residents gratitude and appreciate move to name Pramod Madhwaraj’s name for the colony.

When asked about the BJP’s allegation that Congress men responsible to communal unrest in Bantwal, Amrith Shenoy said that BJP leaders violated the Section 144 and according to the law, action might be taken into. The government will take necessary legal actions on those breaking the laws. The government not in favour of communal disharmony neither it supports. Some of the leaders are in opposition trying to disrupt communal harmony in DK district for the political gains.

As far as election canvassing concerned Congress party due to the vast development of digital technology, effective campaign will be held in the social media and other digital platforms to present the developments initiated by Pramod Madhwaraj. Also all efforts will be made available in social media about the development works of Pramod Madhwaraj and Social Media Cell has been formed for the digital campaign.
