Udupi : Both the two national parties in the state busy with creating rift between people. The development of the state is important than creating rift between the people for their leaders, said H. D. Kumaraswamy former chief minister of Karnataka.

Addressing press meet at Diana Hotel in here on Sunday, 30th July, he said that he got the opportunity to meet media persons of Udupi during his visit to the district to participate in a Vishwakarma Convention at Katapady when to discuss various problems facing by Vishwakarma community. While comparing our party with other parties, we have far better than two national level parties. These parties are trying to develop communal bad feelings with the community in the two districts of coastal Karnataka and playing politics.

There are vast infrastructures available in coastal districts. Both these districts are capable on par with Bengaluru that various resources available. But the development of these districts not up to the standard. There is various scope for the development of these districts rather these major parties not looking for the development instead. If there is rift between the parties, there cannot be development. There is no development in the state. The coastal districts have always known for the development and now a days we cannot see any development in these districts that the administrative machinery not working properly due to communal clashes.

In Dakshina Kannada very long curfew section 144 being imposed which will be never happened in the history. The government failed to handle the administration in DK that the district incharge minister not capable to handle the case. Hence, the administrative machinery is being misused to develop the tension among the people.

Ramanath Rai D.K. minister in-charge  is just a minister for nameshake. Unfortunately such rubber stamp ministers are being given important portfolios like the Home affairs in the sate which is unfortunate one. Siddaramaiha should explain how exactly Kempaiah is important to run the administration, he said.

During the previous election time several manifestos were declared by Siddaramaiha government in the state. But except two, none other manifestos are fulfilled. We never had seen any developmental works in the state, only promises during the election time. Now Congress government started canvassing to election that all manifesto promises were fulfilled.

We never had seen before the suicidal cases by the farmers in the state. We have never seen any farmers’ suicides cases in coastal districts. But there are various problems facing the twin districts of coastal Karnataka. There is acute shortage of rainfall in two coastal districts since two years. The government’s responsibility to face draught situation in the state, he said.

The government has the responsibility to run with smooth administration which should be developmental one. He said that BJP in the country trying the nation. Several Congress MLAs are being hijacked in Gujarat, and Congress has complained to the election commission now only. But Congress had did the same to JD(S) by luring SM Krishna. Now Congress is getting a taste of its own medicine. There is no moral right for the Congress party to complain with Election Commission. There are vast security arrangements with vast police personnel which guarding Congress MLAs of Gujarat. But same government of Karnataka was not able to provide better security during the communal crisis in D.K., he said.

HD Kumaraswamy said that in the Kavya suicide case in Moodubidri, the media, especially TV channels are conducting trials in their studios while on debates and giving rash judgments’. This must be stop. The suicidal case happened on 20th July, since then lot of arguments and debates were held in various TV channels. Alva’s institution in Moodubidri has made a name for itself in the entire state and the Nation as well. Lakhs of students were studied in this famous institution. This institution has the reputation of its own. Several thousands are utilizing its hostel which never we can find. Around 4000 students benefiting free education in Alva’s institutions. It is not easy to build any institution of repute, but it takes easy to slander and destroy it. But the government has the responsibility in this case. The organizations should stop playing politics on the issue.

The elected representatives in Mangaluru are playing double game in naming of Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty to the road. Government has passed the resolution and the Urban Development department had planned to rename the road as MSRS road in the sense that his contribution to the society in large for the development of the undivided district of coastal Karnataka. The state government has forgetting its responsibility to resolve the problem which is created by the people’s representatives, he said.

He said that the government has failed to solve the sand crisis, especially in Udupi district. The state government failed to introduce the separate sand mining policy for the coastal districts. In relate to that the woman DC was attacked by the illegal sand miners in previous months. We do not know what action has been taken for the attackers. The government not able to protect its officers, then how it can protect the common people, he asked. He also said that earlier so many years the sand was cheap which can available at Rs. 3000 per load, but now increased more than Rs. 30,000. How one poor person can construct the house?, he asks.

Toa a question in regard to JD(S) position in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts, he said he aware of it. But during next election, we will have candidates in every district and comfit in all 224 seats in the state.

To a question in regard to controversy of state flag, he said since 1960, we have our own state flag and people of the state respect it. But now this controversy due to the political game arises. Why has this issue come up at all, he asks.

Another query, he said the minorities’ community only utilized 43% of the fund which declared in state budget. He slammed the state government for its false declaration of availability of funds in the budget. The issues like AHINDA and other only a political tool used at the time of election.

Yogish Shetty JD(S) district president, Kenchanoor Shalini shetty Women’s wing president, Bojegowda, Vasudeva Rao, Anitha Shetty and other among were present during the press meet.
