Print Udupi : Undivided Dakshina Kannada district whichever death occurred, Shobha Karandleje MP of Udupi Chickmagalur constituency would have got down to the place and giving prompting speeches, but she never given any response to the suspicious death of Kavya belongs to Alvas Institution at Moodabidri, said Mangalore University Senate member Amrith Shenoy.
He was speaking during the protest staged by National Students Union of India (NSUI) at Clock Tower in Udupi on 11th August, 2017, he said being a woman, Shobha Karandleje never given any response nor she console Kavya’s family. We strongly condemn the attitude of Shobha and asking where is she?.
He said we have not any enmity with either Alva’s institution or with Dr. Mohan Alva. But we demand the justice for Kayva. She was National level Badminton player who brought laurels to the district. This type of suspicious death should not be in future in any institutions. We have strong doubt about the death of Kavya. We demand proper investigation on the case, he said.
One should be pressurized to the students which may disrupt the life of the students. There should be certain rules and regulations for the educational institutions whichever larger or smaller can be. Some schools not following proper regulations. Government should take severe strict measures for those who violate the rules of the institution.
Prinsceley Lewis, student leader also spoke during the occasion. During the occasion NSUI district President Christen Almeida, Marsh Sequeira, Prajwal Kundar, Kalvin D’ Silva, Nabil Udyavara, Janardhan Bhaandarkar and others were present.
