Udupi : The Milagres Educational Institutions Kallianpur celebrated 71^st Independence Day with deep patriotism and fervor on 15^th August, 2017.

Earlier the flag hoisting ceremony held at St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School here. Prakash, Alumni of the school hoisted the national tri-colour flag. Sr. Susheela Headmistress of the school along with the students and parents witnessed the flag hoisting ceremony. School brass band assisted the celebration of Independence Day grand. School Scouts students and large number of parents were present during the occasion.

Sujaya Poojary Parents Teachers Association President and officials of PTA were present.

The national flag hoisting ceremony held at Milagres Kannada High School with deep patriotism and fervor. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milages Educational Institutions and Rector of Milagres Church was hoisted the national tri-colour flag. Dr. Nery Cornelio Vice President of Milagres Cathedral parish pastoral council was the chief guest.

Paul Lobo Headmaster of the High school and large number of parishioners were present during the Independence Day celebrations. Earlier the guests were warmly welcomed with the school brass band. Very Rev Fr. Stany Lobo gave the message of 71^st Independence Day of India.

Milagres English Medium Schools was celebrated 71^st Independence Day with patriotism and fervor. The guests were warmly received with the tune of school brass band and scores of flutes singing students and Scouts and Rangers were proceeding towards the celebrations stage.

Rathnakar, President of Parents Teachers Association of the High School section was the chief guest. The chief guest hoisted the national tri-colour flag with patriotism.

Earlier the programme started with invocation prayer by the students. Rathnakar was gave the Independence Day message to the students. Later, the colourful stage programme conducted by the students.

Rev Fr. Lancy Fernandes Principal of Milagres English Schools, Veera D’Silva Headmistress of Milagres English medium Primary School and other guests of honor were present during the beautiful organized programme.

The 71^st Independence Day celebrated at Milagres Pre University College and Milagres College with fervor. Dr. Vincent Alva Principal of Milagres College hoisted the national tri-colour flag. Mrs Savitha Kumari assisted during the hoisting ceremomy. NCC of the college paraded beautifully and college brass band assisted the celebrations. Dr. Vincent Alva gave the 71^st Independence day message.

Large number of Colleges faculty and students were present during the flag hoisting ceremony.
