Ration card problems should be settled immediately to get the benefits from the government

Print Udupi : Without the settlement of the ration card problems, people are not able to get the various benefits from the government. The officials should give the scope to correction the wrongs in the ration card easily.
Speaking during the meeting of Udupi Taluk Panchayat on Monday, 21st August, 2017 at Taluk office meeting hall, Sudhir Kumar Shetty member said that in his area limit, two names of the card entered in his neighbor ration card. How it is possible. At the time of correction, there is needed to come Gram panchayat office all people who mentioned the ration card. It will be burden to the people. He demanded to need simple system when correction of ration card mistakes. He said there are several benefits schemes of the central as well as state government. If BPL card not available, how poor man can get the benefit, he asks.
Replying to Deputy Tahasildar Pradeep Kumar said that Pradeep Kurdekar said that all the people should come to the office for finger prints. If someone have missed the name in the ration card, they can give one more application and can make the correction in the ration card. He said the data entry already completed for 1211 applicants and within two weeks will be taken printing job. The applicants can get the ration card within a month.
Bhujanga Shetty, another member said that the work of drainage system at Kokkarne not completed fully. The drainage water along with the rain water has going on the road. The officials said that the matter will be inspected and take measures.
The meeting was presided over by the President Nalini Pradeep Rao. Rajendra P, Vice President, Mohan Rao official, Neetha Gururaj Vice President, Keshav Moily, Rajesh, Subash Nayak, Ramesh D’Souza and others were participated in the meeting.
