Print Mumbai: Traffic & Safety Awareness Drive held by Lions of Sunshine Platinum.
Mumbai, August 23, 2017: In spite of heavy rains a Traffic Safety Awareness Drive was held in association with Lions club of Sunshine Platinum, R T O Thane & TEAM RIDE ONN, a team of Bikers, on Sunday the 20th of August, 2017. The event started at Cadbury Junction towards Kalwe, Airoli to Navi Mumbai and also from Thane to Mulund and Mumbai onwards.
Around 60 bikers joined for a good cause, with Traffic Safety Awareness Program. Chief Guest for the event, was Ln K J Paul, 1st Vice District Governor, who himself a bike rider launched/flagged off the event at 9 am sharp riding on the pillion. With placards like, SAFE DRIVE, Data of No of accidents happening in city, Pledge to follow traffic rules, also distributing the Helpline/emergency cards wherein the name & Contact no of persons driving/travelling can be readily available for HELP. says Ln DivyaMani Iyer, who was the coordinator.
Guests of Honour were Ln Lunkaran Tawari,Dist. GST Coordinator, resident of Vashi & Zone chairperson Ln Chitra Chaudhary, Says Ln Atreyee Mandal, who joined Divya in these great event.
TEAM Ride ONN leader, Atif Syed, Meghna, Tejas, Amol, Omi to name a few, were happy to be part of the event, Says Chief Guest Ln K J Paul, who interacted them, also riding on these team’s Bike.
The event team also paid homage to 6 people who died in road accidents by 1 minute silence.
