Udupi : Dr. Thonse Vijaya Kumar edited, produced and directed Tulu movie “ Patthanaaje’ released for the public at Ashirvaad Theatre, Santhekatte, Kallianpur near on Friday, 1^st September, 2017.

The formal programme was held at Ashirvad Theatre prior to the show. Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC, Smt Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje President of Udupi City Municipal Council, K Raghupathy Bhat former MLA, Gurme Suresh Shetty Entrepreneur Kaup, Frank Fernandes Overseas Entrepreneur, Purushottam Shetty, Entrepreneur, Manohar Shetty Entrepreneur, Uday Shetty Muniyalu, Indrali Jayakar Shetty, Yermal Shashidhar Shetty, Kodavoor Divakar Shetty and other among were present.

Kota Srinivas Poojary, Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, K. Raghupathy Bhat, Manohoar Shetty were spoke during the occasion and appreciated the work of Thonse Vijaya Kumar Shetty for the growth of Tulunadu language by producing lyrics, acting and overall effort in the growth of Tulu language as well and conveyed their wishes for the success in producing the tulu movie called Patthanaaje.

Earlier Indrali Jayakar Shetty welcomed the gatherings. Thonse Vijaya Kumar also spoke during the occasion and gave gratitude to all concerned in favour of the Movie.

Kum Shastra Shetty Miss Teen Grand C Universe winner (Baggeria) was felicitated during the occasion. Sudhakar Acharya proposed vote of thanks.

Patthenaaje means the special feast of Tuluvas. In tulu calendar the tenth day of the month “Besha” called Patthanaaje. During that day there has been the system of seeding in the faddy fields’ activity. It is the day of goodness. So tuluvas believes are that on this tenth day of the month atleast 10 drops of rain can experience.

The birth of Patthenaaje heroin has take place in that day.  On her life she has experience the unexpected things like love and on the other side atrocities’ on her. She has also experience the cruel system of the society. At the end due to the society’s culture, she will reach the bank of her life.

With his vast experience in theatre and stage, Dr. Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty not compromised on selection of artists for the movie. The movie has filled with tens of famous artists from Mumbai and Tulunadu. One can see the experience ocean in the movie as well. Already shined in Tulu and Kannada actors like Shivdwaj, international famous dancer, actor Surya Rao, famous Mumbai based actor Reshma Shetty, Pratheesh Shetty from Mumbai, Chetan Rai Mani, Sunder Rai Mandara, Praveen Markame, Sheetha Kote, Ravi Surathkal, Suresjdra Kumar Hegde, Kajal Kundar from Mumbai, Yakshana artist on lady role Prashanth Shetty Nelladi, Pallavi Shetty, Drashya Shettyt, Juliet, Ramesh Rai Kukkuwalli, Suraj Pandeshwar, Roopa Varkadi, Mangesh Bhat Vittla and many more given their beautiful role in the movie.

Chetan Pattle youth Yakshagana artist, songs by Sathish Shetty, famous lyrics Dr. Suneethi Shetty, Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli, Navneeth Shetty Kadri and Songs written by Dr. Dinakar amd V Manohar gave the music for the songs. Madan Harini gave the direction for dance. Dialogue by Vijaykumar Kodialbail, photography by Suresh Babu, Art direction by Chanchalakshi Bhat, co-directed by Sachith Shetty Kumble, Production maintenance by Manjunath Bannur and guidance on Yakshagana by Tonse Pushkal Kumar.

The shooting of the film held at Booduda Ille, Mangaluiru and attracted spots of Udupi district. On the first day of the movie show at Asirvaad, Santhekatte looks good and expected good shows with more people at all theaters of Udupi and Mangaluru.
