Udupi : Anupama Shoney, former deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) said that she had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged him to direct a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Hublot watch controversy in relate to the chief minister Siddaramiaha.

Speaking to media persons at Udupi Press Club on Tuesday, 5^th September, 2017 here said that I have written letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested a CBI probe into the Rs. 70 lakh Hublot watch controversy involving chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiha. I have submitted a 33 page dodcument along with other reports in the media to the police and will submit other documents to police officials during the investigation.

She said that in 2^nd March after the complication and controversy arises, Siddaramaiha had returned the said watch to Kagodu Thimmappa, former Speaker of Vidhana Sabha and declared that Dr. Girish Varma who reportedly gifted him the said watch and it nothing to do with the government of Karnataka.Siddaramaih said that Dr. Girish Chandra Varma doesn’t have any official dealings with government of Karnataka or its organization.  The Lokayukta stalling the probe half way and anti corruption bureau (ACB) gave a clean chit to Siddaramaih in the controversy in earlier March, 2017.

Dr. Girish Chandra Varma, a doctor working in the hospital owned by a UAE based businessmen gave costly Hublot watch to Siddaramaih. Dr. Girish Chandra Varma has working for New Medical Centre Hospital Dubai as specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Dr. B. R. Shetty owner of NMC Health Care, Dubai. Dr. B. R. Shetty was awarded as Pravasi Bharatiya Award in 2007 and Padmashree in 2009 during the UPA rule in Center.

In August 2016, the Karnataka Government with Dr. B. R. Shetty signed two projects in Karnataka. They are in one at Jog Falls in Shivmuga and other Haji Abdulla Women and Children Hospital upgraded under 30+30 years on lease. R. V Despande was the Higher Education and Tourism and Rajneesh Goyal is Secretary of the Education department. After that Deshpande become Minister of Large and Medium Industries. Then Deshpande visited udupi and met Pramod Madhwaraj. On 25^th and 26^th October, 2015 under the leadership of Deshpande high level delegation was visited UAE. During February and March 2016 the controversy of the watch arises and after that Rajneesh Goyal was transferred to Women and child Development department and his wife Dr. Shalini Rajneesh transferred to Health department. Kagodu Thimmappa receives the watch from Siddaramaih with legal papers.

All these details are present in the letter to Narendra Modi. She demanded CBI probe on accused Siddaramiah, R. V. Deshpande, Pramod Madhwaraj, Kagodu Thimmappa, Ramesh Kumar, Mahadevappa, T. B. Jayachandra, Rajneesh Goyal, Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Venkatesh former DC, Dr. B. R. Shetty and Dr. Girish Chandra Varma and should file FIR and need CBI investigation.

She said that the police department, revenue department and departments have become corrupted in the state. Indeed police officials are suffering due to politicians. These days there is no respect for police personal as well as officials. She will reveal many corruptions of politicians and businessmen in connection with the corruption in the future days. She was got the reply from the PMO and hope the further actions will be awaited.
