Konkani natak sabha holds dance competition

The 17th Inter Parish Dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore at the Don Bosco Hall on Sunday, September 10.

The competition was inaugurated by President Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza along with office bearers.

The competition was held in three categories i.e. below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in Ladies duet, Gents duet, Mixed group and married couple.

As many as 125 participants in 44 entries from 11 parishes took part in the competition.

In the below-15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Bajjodi parish stood second and Cascia third place.
In the above-15 years category Cordel bagged the first place, Permannur Parish second and Urwa third place.

John M. Permannur, Prashanth Albert D’Souza and Gouri Rao were the jurors of these competitions.

President Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Jossy Theodore compered the programme. General Secretary Judith D’Souza introduced the judges. Vice President Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks and Convenor Nigil Pereira announced the results.
