Udupi : Since one year several leaders of the other political parties joined in BJP. Around 400 to 500 former congress activists along with the Jayaprakash Hegde former Congress MP will be joining the Bharatiya Janata party at the Parivarthana Convention to be held in Brahmavar on 16^th October, said Rathnakar Hegde Mattar, President of District BJP unit.

Addressing to media persons at a press meet held at the district BJP office at Kadiyali on Frinday, 13^th October, 2017, Rathnakar Hegde Mattar said that the Parivarthana convention to be held at Valentine compound at 3 pm which 4000 to 5000 people are expected to attend in the convention. This Parivarthana Samavesha is being organized by Jayprakash Hegde supporters.

He said that Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for chemicals and fertilizers, Shobha Karandlaje MP of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, R. Ashoka, former deputy chief minister and MLA, Nalini Kumar Katil MP of Mangaluru , V Sunil Kumar MLA of Karkala, Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC and former Minister of state, Jayaprakash Hegde former MP, Lalaji Mendon former MLA of Kaup, Laxminarayan former MLA of Byndoor, Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde State BJP Secretary, K Udya Kumar Shetty, Senior Leader, Dinakar Babu Zilla Panchayat President, Sheela K Shetty ZP vice president and others will present at the convention.

Mattar said that chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched mid day daily meals ‘Mathru Poorna Scheme’  for pregnant women in fact good scheme. But the quality of food is not up to the standard. There has been lack of staff in Anganwadi to provide good food as well as good food. What we believe that the said scheme is like a sort of torture to pregnant women and it is better to give them financial assistance rather low quality food.

He said that the government has going for the implementation of anti-superstition bill, “ Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Evil Practices and Black Magic Bill-2017. The government should not hurt one’s religious feelings that the ban includes Kola, Kenda Seva, Nemotsava, Jathras and other beliefs which are regularly held especially in Tulunadu coastal areas.

Mattar Hegde said that AICC General Secretary and Karnataka in charge of the congress party K C Venugopal facing charges of sexual harassment and solar scam cases. It is said that Kerala CPM leaders are all set to file a criminal case against K C Venugopal. The congress high command should change Karnataka in-charge and should change the Venugopal. If he continues in the same position in the state, BJP will protest against the Venugopal.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that BJP will launch a statewide ‘Parivarthana’ yatra from 2^nd November which Amith Shah National BJP President will inaugurate the Yatra at Nelamangala. Meanwhile the parivarthana yatra will be held in all 224 assembly constituencies in the state under the leadership of former chief minister and BJP state President Yeddyurappa which targeting the chief minister Siddaramaiha. The parivarthana Yathra will pass through Udupi district on 11^th and 12^th November, 2017.
