Print Mangalore: Renowned Konkani Poet & Composer Lloyd Austin Rego, Taccode will be presenting a musical show of his selected songs – ‘LAR Nite’, at the 191st Monthly Theatre, on Sun., Nov. 5, 2017, at 6 p.m., at Kalaangann, Mangalore.
Eric Ozario, Joyce Ozario, Adolf Jayatilak, Shilpa Cutinha, Muralidhar Kamat, Robin Sequeira, Meera Crasta, Nihal Tauro, Herald Tauro, Senet D’Cunha, Nester Hospet and Joel Attur will be singing in this show and Rajesh, Rajendra, Roshan Bela, Muralidhar Kamat, Jonam Obol, Kenny Pereira and Reuben Machado will be backing them with music. There will also be comedy by Bindas Pernal and dances by Nach Sobhann. Lloyd Rego & Alwyn Danthy will be compeering the show. Blue Angels will be presenting an acapella version of one of Lloyd’s songs.
On this occasion, the 13th Carvalho Ghorannem–Mandd Sobhann ‘Kalakar Puraskar’ will be awarded to Shri Gopal Gowda, for his immense contribution in the preservation, promotion and the popularization of Kudmi Konkani folk arts. The President of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, Shri R. P. Naik, will be presenting the Award.
