Udupi : The upcoming election is not ordinary election of legislative assembly of Karnataka state, but it is the war with BJP that the election will be a battle between Congress and BJP said AICC General Secretary in charge of Karnataka K. C. Venugopal.

He was speaking during the review meeting of Mane Menege Congress campaign at the District Congress Bhavan here on Monday, 6^th November, 2017 and said that under Siddaramaiha government during four and half years we proudly say that in the history of Karnataka lot of schemes totally benefit for common people of the state. People are ready to vote for Congress. Mane Manege campaign in the Kaup Constituency under the leadership of MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake is working successful. If the party workers campaign hardly, then the Congress will going to win with clear majority in all the five seats in Udupi district, he said.

Venugopal said that under BJP led Narendra Modi’s government the price of the household cooking gas increased further Rs 94. The congress will observe November 8 as black day that lot of people get pain due to demonetization of currency. More than 150 people killed due to demonetization. During previous election Narendra Modi said that he will bring back all the black money from abroad. He is not able to caught single person as black money. He may be man ka bath hai, but he is not kaam ka person. Modi government has been looting the middle class people in the name of GST. In Karnataka we are giving lunch for only Rs. 10 in Indira canteens. But the people in the hotel paying 18% GST for food, he said.

During the previous election manifesto, we are fulfilled more than 80% promises for the people. But Modi not yet fulfilled 30% of the people election manifesto. The Modi government is helped the top industrialists like Adani, Ambani who helped financially in the previous elections., he said.

The BJP is interested only in gaining votes by dividing people along the lines of religion, but Congress in Karnataka uniting all the people. Tipu Sultan is the real freedom fighter of the country as said by our President. Congress has made that we are communal. People of Karnataka do not like the Modi due to his false promises. Congress will come with comfortable majority in the upcoming election. Congress is big family. In Udupi district congress should win all the five seats. The Karkala and Kundapur seats should be taking back by the Congress in coming election, he said.

Venugopal said that during the present scenario in the country, the Modi wave changed drastically. Modi is publicity man rather less work. Rajeev Gandhi is sincere leader of Congress Party. The party will defeat the Modi’s BJP led NDA government at the centre and Rajeev Gandhiji is our next prime minister of the country from 2019, he said.

During the occasion the newly appointed District Congress Party President Janardhan Thonse took charge as district President from outgoing president Gopal Poojary Byndoor MLA.
