Udupi : In order to eradicate the untouchability in Hindu Samaj, I visited Harijan Coloy in 1977 which I was condemned by various Chiefs of Maths, said Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math on Saturday, 25^th November, 2017 at Dharma Sansad Media Corner here.

Addressing the media persons after the morning session of the second day of Dharma Sansad, Swamiji said that untouchability is existed during British time that British and Muslims made this evil system for their benefits. When I was supported the Harijans and backwards, I heard lot of criticisms. But now the untouchability slowly eradicates and we are trying to eradicate completely. Same Math chiefs are now supporting me to eradicate the untouchability.

On caste based discrimination, Pejawar Swami said that we should try our best to abolish caste based discrimination in Hindu Society. All are equal in Hinduism and caste based discrimination should go. Caste discrimination not existed in the Sri Krishna Math, he said.

Pejawar Swamiji said that Dalits and other castes sit together, drink water together and meal together. Then it could be sorted out the problems of untouchability. Same like when we eradicate the untouchability, the issue of inter caste marriages can be solved eminently.

To a query to media persons on construction of Ram Madir, Swamiji said that we want Ram Madir at the place of Sri Ram’s birth place at any cost. The Supreme Court have given favourable verdict on Ram Madir. The plan of construction of Ram Mandir cannot stop and Ram Mandir will be constructed soon.

On the issue of reservation, Pejawar Swamiji said that there should not be partiality for the Majority and Minorities. All should be treated similarly either to Minorities or Majorities in reservation issues.

During the press meet, Surendra Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary of International VHP, said that on untouchability nowhere in Vedas or other Shastras written or explained. On the second day of Udupi Dharma Sansad which presided by Vishwesranandji Maharaj of Mumbai in the presence of Praveen Togadia, said that VHP will organize to put the foundation stone for Ram Mandir by Dalits and also thinking to hold meal in Dalit house by the Sants. Brahat Hindustan should me untouchability free nation. VHP will organize campaign “Hindu Parivar Mithra Yojana’ with visiting the Dalits and other castes people’s homes with the intention to eradicate the Untouchability evil. One temple, one well, one meal for all the Hindus in one platform, he said.

Surendra Kumar Jain said that the state government taking over temple administration should be stopped and key of the temples should give to the management of the temples. It would be no fair to give administration of temples to the government. The government is trying to take over the management of temples but not mosques nor churches. The government is only after the money and the property of temples, rather no sanctity of the temples.

The evil of secularism playing with divide the society on the basis of castes and creeds. The Secular mafia great threat of unity of society, he said.

On conversion, Surendra Kumar Jain said that due to Conversion there has been lot of clashes and unrest in the society. About 99% Christians and about 95% Muslims converted from Hindus in India. Presently we want to bring strict law on Conversion. But we do not want forceful ‘Ghar Wapasi’.

Answering the question regarding the absence of Sri Ravi Shankar at the Dharma Sansad, Prof M B Puranik Organizing Secretary of Dharma Sansad said that since yesterday night myself on constant touch over phone and he asked about the outcome of the Dharma Sansad. If possible he will arrive to Udupi depends upon his time availability.
