Udupi : Milagres English Medium Higher Primary School, Kallianpur near here celebrated Annual School Day on Wednesday, 29^th November, 2017.

Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment, Government of Karnataka was the guest of honor.

In his address, Minster said that everyone in their life never forget the school days in their career and never forget their teachers as well. It has the days which are most memorable. As educators, we all share the same mission – nurturing our young students and bringing out the best in them. We need to cater for all students, so that students with different aptitudes, abilities and interests will be able to exploit their potentials to the full.

He said that the primary education is the time to put foundation for the students’ career better. Life is like a large piece of marble and students are the sculptor. The mind, will and skill of sculptor decide the shape of this marble. Likewise your mind, will and skill will help shape the student’s life.

Rev Fr. Henry Saldhana SJ, Principal of St. Joseph’s Indian High School, Bengaluru was the chief guest on the occasion. He said in his address, I am particularly pleased being a chief guest of one of the famous school. It offers me a chance to commemorate students’ success in pursuing excellence in education and to witness the remarkable achievements of this school. We have parents who always support their children with unfailing and selfless love; and educators who are passionate and tireless in leading and nurturing their students.

Headmaster of the school, Rev Fr. Lancy Fernandes placed very long report of the school for the academic year. The guests of the dais distributed meritorious and proficiency prizes for the students. Meanwhile state and national level students were felicitated during the occasion.

Collin D’Souza, Udupi District level Best Teacher Award on Teachers’ Day which organized by District Administration, Educational Department along with sponsorship of G. Shankar Family trust was felicitated by the guests on the dais.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions blessed the occasion and presided over the program.

Dr. Nery Cornelio Vice President of Milagres Cathedral parish pastoral council, Veera D’Silva Headmistress,  Jayaram Nittur, PTA President, Mrs. Shakuntala, Vice President PTA and students leaders Drashya and Ananya were present.

Earlier Veera D’Silva welcomed the gathering and Drashya proposed vote of thanks.

Various cultural entertainments like Choco western dance, Hindi dance on child labour and RIT, Semi-classical Kannada Dance, Hindi dance on peace and harmony, Hindi dance on women empowerment, Summy bear western dance, English skit – Harmony, Kannada Skit – Preetisu Nee Manava etc held during the occasion.

The students itself compered the programmes on each events. Large number of parents, students and well wishers were enjoyed the grand events and programme on Annual Day celebrations.
