Siddaramaiah to launch Rs. 581 crore worth developmental projects in Udupi constituency

Udupi : Siddaramaiah,  Chief Minister of Karnataka will be launched Rs. 581 crores worth developmental projects in the Udupi Assembly constituency at a function to be held at Brahmavar Gandhi Maidan here on 8th January, 2018 at 2 pm, said Pramod Madhwaraj, District in-charge Minister and Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment.

 

Addressing to media persons at a press meet held at Press Club here on Friday, 5th January, Minister said that Rs. 509 crores worth developmental projects to be launched and Rs. 72 crores worth developmental projects to be inaugurated during the programme.

 

Pramod Madhwaraj said that the chief minister will inaugurate the completed project of the bridge over Sithanadi at Kuradi-Nilavar road Panchameena at the cost of Rs. 9 crores, Zilla Panchayat Training Centre at Manipal at the cost of Rs. 1.50 crores, Library Building of Government First Grade College, Barkur at the cost of Rs. 0.60 crores, Malpe second stage jatti project at the cost of Rs. 49 crores, Commercial Centre at Santhekatte, Gopalpura ward of Udupi CMC at the cost of Rs. 1.51 crores, Agricultural Centre Road development at Herroor at the cost of Rs. 3.053 crores, From H.C. T-15 Heroor School Road development at the cost of Rs. 2.636 crores, from Kemmannu Jyothi Nagar to Nejar 6th cross road development at the cost of Rs. 1.671 crores, Nejar Jangamarabettu to Nidamballi Kemmannu Road development project at the cost of 2.261 crores, Karje Haluvalli Inkladi Road development at the cost of 1.312 crores. Total projects no. 10 and cost Rs. 72.54 crores.

 

The chief minister will lay the foundation stone for the Bridges of Perampalli – Paskudru and Thimmana Kundru at Kemmanu worth Rs. 4 and Rs. 5 crore respectively, Road development projects worth Rs. 12 crore, Udupi Central KSRTC bus stand worth Rs. 31 crore. Gandhi Bhavan worth Rs. 3 crore, under ADB and Amruth projects Udupi City Water distribution and drainage development worth Rs. 370 crore, Under state government special grant drainage and road development projects worth Rs. 10 crore, Bridge at Kalsanka worth of Rs. 0.75 crore, Under Nagarothana scheme drinking water, road development, rain water drainage and other developmental works worth of Rs. 35 crore, After SSLC women’s hostel, Manipal worth of Rs. 3.14 crore, Air conditioned Indoor Stadium development worth Rs. 1.21 crore, Cricket Stadium at Gandhi Maidan, Brahmavar.

 

He said during the last assembly elections according the election manifesto we have promised that 24 hours electricity and 24 hours water to Udupi city municipality made available. Already the MESCOM has been providing proper electricity in Udupi. The second project 24 hours water to Udupi city to be fulfilled that the chief minister will lay foundation stone for the supply of Varahi Water to Udupi City Municipality. The proposed Simbra dam planning has dropped for technical reasons. Varahi water will be supplied by pipes to Udupi city Municipality limits.

Pramod said that regarding the Brahmavar Sugar Factory, the proposal has sent to Sugar related departments. Every during Paryaya the state government sanction the grant to develop the roads in the Udupi city limit.
