Udupi : Top level medical care should be provided for the poor people with better facilities and satisfied care, said Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

After inauguration of Government of Karnataka and Kusamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Haji Abdulla Mother and Child Hospital dedication programme on Thursday, 18^th January, 2018 at Vajapeye Auditorium, Rajathadri, Manipal near here, Pejawar Swamiji said that earlier there was severe opposition from various communities for the establishment of this hospital which site of the land provided by Haji Abdulla for Mother and Child government hospital and we received lot of pressure from the public against the construction. We need the government hospital with the collaboration of Dr. B. R. Shetty at Udupi for the poor people who do not afford to pay the bills. Now we got such hospital with the intention to provide the all necessary facilities with high standard for the poor people of Udupi district.

Swamiji said that obviously the doctors should not take the medical fee from the poor patients. The hospital doctors should take high fee from the very rich people and that amount should be used for the poor patients. The service of the doctors for the poor people will be increased in future. The hospital management with the service initiatives should provide better services freely for the poor patients of Mother and Children.

In his keynote address, Dr. B. R. Shetty, Managing Director of BRS Venture said that the dream comes true and we have highly standard international level hospital established in Udupi with the intention to provide better medical facilities and care for the poor people freely. Siddaramaiah the chief minister of Karnataka believed me and Ramesh Kumar Minister of State for Health also helped me to establish better hospital in the name of my parents in Udupi. The Chief Minister, Health Minister and District in charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj totally trusted me for this venture. It is not with the intention to make business, but it is project with the intention of giving free medical fare for the poor people. I was the municipal councilor at the early ages in Udupi Town Council. It would be good opportunity for the people of Udupi to have good medical care with international standard, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Pramod Madhwaraj said that on November 2017 the chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaih inaugurated the Hospital on the premise of Haji Abdualla Maternity and Child Hospital. There was  70 beds in the Government Maternity and Child Hospital.  I appreciate the doctors and medical faculty for their excellent services in the hospital at Udupi. Now tomorrow onwards free medical care with high facilities and care free medical services will be available for the poor people of Udupi district with 200 beds. Our dreams come true to establish international level free hospital with 200 beds hospital.  

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Shri J. P. Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Empowerment who dedicated the hospital for the public,  said that it would be good initiative of the state government to establish highly advanced government hospital along with private entrepreneur from overseas. I must congratulate the state government and Dr. B. R. Shetty for the initiative of this project with the intention to provide better medical care and facilities freely for the poorest of the poor. This initiative should be aspiration to other players of the medical institutions. It would be not so easy to government collaboration with private parties. The society should go forward to establish institutions for the better cause of the people, he said.

The minister said that the maternity and child hospitals should establish in the country which would be most necessary. The Union government has taken more initiatives for the Women empowerment. He assured the state government more guidance and help will be provided for the health and women empowerment.
