Kemmannu News Network, 12-02-2018 07:51:09
Udupi : Congress party will win in all the five legislative constituencies in Udupi district, said V S Ugrappa, MLC and one of the observer for Udupi district.
Addressing to media persons during the press meet at Congress Bhavan, here on Sunday, 11th Feburary, Ugrappa said that we have no confusion in selection of ticket in Udupi district. In Udupi, Kaup and Byndoor assembly constituencies represented by sitting Congress MLA’s for the coming election. The Congress activists and the party leaders have proposed Rakesh Malli’s name and in Karkala constituency thee names are proposed by the party activists. They are former MLA Gopala Bhandary, former Chief Minister Veerappa Moily’s son Harsha Moily and District Congress Committee vice president Muniyalu Uday Shetty. I and Veena Achaiah MLC, KPCC observers will submit our report to the KPCC and the party high command. The final decision will be taken by the party high command for the selection of candidates, he said.
Both Ugrappa and Veena Achaiya were interviewed the aspirants and the supports of the aspirants at the Congress Bhavan. Ugappa said that we have candidates in all the constituencies except in Karkala where is healthy competition between three aspirants for the ticked which will be without any problem resolved. While choosing candidates social status, wining capacity, contribution to the growth of the party and other issues will be considered. He is happy to see the enthusiasm of the party workers which shows that the Congress party will in all five constituencies in the district, he said.
He said that there has been the ‘ale of Congress’ (in favour of Congress) all over the Karnataka and it will sure that the party once again will come to power in the state. There is the fight between Congress and BJP in the forthcoming election. It will be fight between social justice and social unrest, it is the fight between the clean government and corruption, it is the fight between good for the people and worst for the people. Two faces of one coin, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi are disappointed against the progress of the state, he said.
Amit Shah and Narendra Modi are creating false rumours on the basis of Hindutva in the country. Their promises during the election are all fake and false. Being a prime minister of the country, Modi should be a statesman. During the last visit Modi said Congress government is the 10% commission government. If he knew about any corruption happening in the state he could have complained. According the Article 356, the central government on the recommendation of the governor can dismiss the state government. He should be statesman rather talking always politics. There were three chief ministers in previous BJP government. When the congress national leader called Narendra Modi as Neech, all the BJP leaders criticized the said congress leader. But the prime minister had called the Siddarmaiah government as Nanga Naach and 10% government. Prime Minister should show the proof of his allegations, he said.
Narendra Modi had assured before the Lok Sabha polls that he will bring Acche Din in the country. He would get back the black money and deposit Rs. 15 lakh in the bank account of every citizen. But till now a single paise has been not depositied. Modi has failed to fulfil the pre-poll promises and fooled the public to get votes. He is great lair.
Ugrappa said that in reply to the question of media persons on Rahul Gandhi’s visit of temples, it would be their personal view in regard to their faith in the religion. Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaih and other are real Hindus. But BJP people are dongi Hindus. We are not going for the temple on the basis of politics in order to get the votes. Congress party a like Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhiji philosophy and other national leaders not done any partiality with the Hindu community. Siddaramaih could not visit Sri Krishna Math due to time constraints. Lord Krishna himself may call Siddaramaih at the earliest. Congress is giving all importance to all the Hindu communities and all religions, he said.
MLC Veena Achaiah, KPCC Kundapur Constituency observer Mamatha Gatti, Shaila Kuttappa, District Congress President Janardhan Tonse, District Congress Secretary Narasimha Moorthy and others were present.
