The Catechism day of the st. Joseph’s church Belman

The Catechism day for the year 2017-18 was held on 25th of March 2018.The celebration was blessed by the presence of Parish Priest  Rev.Fr. Edwine Dsouza and Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Roy Lobo.The host of day was Ms.Jenitha Andrade. The day was begins soon after Sunday mass.The programme commenced with prayer song along with welcome dance. a group of three Girls performed welcome dance in front of other audience in respect to the konkani tradition of welcoming people.The programme was also honored by the presence of Parish Council Vice president Alwyn Agera Secretary Favostine Dsouza.

The first section of the programme was preformed by the students of grade 1-5, it included an action song, a small act and  a song. The children had put up the show very well according to the view of audience to the 8 Soon after prizes were distributed to the students who had been regularly present for the Sunday schooling conducted by Sunday school teachers. prizes also distributed to the students who submitted their project work on time.

The programme also progressed with the performances of class 6th to 10th. It included some action songs, Skits, and Drama and modern era life style of the earlier christian families and modern christian families. According to the audience the show was put up well. later on the prizes were given out to the students who had preformed well in the catechism exam. Prizes were also presented to the rank holder in the catechism exam held at the diocese level for the classes of 7th and 10th std.Then Joshua Alva a 9th Std boy shared his experience on what he felt when he had been to the catechism class and how does it help in his life. The parish priest Rev. Fr. Edwin dsouza give guidance to all the audience assembled. The day was  concluded with the Lenten song.
