Udupi : BJP do not invite to contest in the legislative assembly election to Shiroor Pontiff Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji under BJP ticket, said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, District BJP President.

Speaking with the media persons during the press meet held at District BJP office near Kadiyali here on Tuesday, 13^th March, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that Shiroor Swamiji on the one hand speaking in favour of Pramod Madhwaraj and on the other side his willingness to contest in BJP ticket. Swamiji must clarify his stand that what is his intention to contest in the election? We do not invite to join in the BJP nor give the ticket to contest in the election.

Mattar Rathnakar Shetty said that since more than three decades, Shiroor Swamiji have relation with BJP. Now, we do not know his allegation regarding the Udupi unit of BJP that district BJP not good. What is his intention that we do not know. Udupi district do their cent percent responsibility for the BJP, he said.

In Udupi district unit, if the party is not working properly, let Central BJP take responsibility to correct the same. We do not need Shiroor Swamiji to correct the Udupi district BJP unit, he said.

Mattar Rathnakar Shetty informed the media persons during the press meet that Kamala Jathre will be organized from 16^th March to 18^th March at Katpady junction near here which attracts Leisure shows, mimicry, Mallakamba, dances and other entertainments are organized. Shobha Karandlaje MP of Udupi – Chickmaglur will inaugurate the three days Kamala Jathre programme at 3 pm.

Then there are various programmes like chaye per charcha will be organized. Some of the games and sports for the children will also to be conducted. The chief food will also serve during the occasion. Jotishya, mehendi for girls and other counters will be provided.
